Jasmine Crockett has become one of the most polarizing figures in Washington, DC
The Texas Democrat never misses a chance to attack Donald Trump.
And Jasmine Crockett went on CNN and said two words about Trump that left conservatives fuming.
Crockett claims Trump’s policies are “dealing death”
U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) escalated her anti-Trump rhetoric to shocking new heights during a Monday appearance on CNN’s The Source.
The first-term congresswoman accused President Donald Trump of intentionally letting Americans starve during the government shutdown that Democrats keep voting to keep in place.
“I’m hoping that all Americans can finally wake up and say, we are going to prioritize ourselves,” Crockett stated. “We are going to look for people that maybe we don’t think they’re super funny or super entertaining, but they will not try to deal death to us with every single policy that they hand out.”¹
Crockett’s inflammatory “deal death” accusation comes as Democrats say the administration refused to tap a $6 billion contingency fund to pay November food stamp benefits during the ongoing government shutdown.
About 42 million Americans are on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for food assistance, receiving an average monthly benefit of $188 per person.²
The Agriculture Department placed a banner on its website stating “the well has run dry” and blamed Senate Democrats for voting 12 times against funding SNAP.³
Crockett used the SNAP funding issue as a weapon against Trump’s supporters in rural America.
“Why aren’t you looking at the fact that rural America overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump? Rural America uses more SNAP benefits than urban America,” Crockett said. “I mean, like, these are your voters, right? So, like, why aren’t you doing those things?”⁴
Despite her own party’s repeated votes to keep the government shut down, the Texas congresswoman tried painting Republicans as hypocrites for calling themselves “pro-life” while opposing what she characterized as basic government assistance.
“So I think that the question should be, which party is truly about being pro-life?” Crockett asked.⁵
Crockett has a lengthy track record of inflammatory rhetoric
Crockett’s latest attack represents just the most recent entry in her growing catalog of inflammatory statements targeting conservatives.
She previously blamed Trump for creating a “culture of violence” after conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September, refusing to moderate her rhetoric even as other Democrats called for unity.⁶
During a September radio appearance, Crockett defended calling Trump a “wannabe Hitler,” claiming such language didn’t constitute encouraging violence against Republicans.⁷
In March, Crockett sparked outrage by referring to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, as “Governor Hot Wheels” – a comment she later claimed was misunderstood despite her pattern of mocking Abbott’s disability.⁸
The congresswoman also called for Elon Musk to be “taken down” on her birthday, insisted that “law enforcement isn’t to prevent crime,” and argued that not all criminals should be prosecuted if they’re committing crimes out of poverty.⁹
Attorney General Pam Bondi previously warned Crockett about her dangerous rhetoric targeting Musk amid a wave of violent attacks against Tesla owners and workers.
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly responded to Crockett’s latest CNN appearance by turning the tables on Democrats.
“Senate Democrats have shamefully played politics with our nation’s most vulnerable families in order to push health care for illegal immigrants,” Kelly stated. “They should reopen the government now to protect these crucial benefits that feed one in eight American citizens.”¹⁰
For Crockett, facts don’t matter when there’s an opportunity to attack Trump.
The Texas congresswoman has built her entire brand around inflammatory rhetoric and viral social media moments.
Her latest “dealing death” accusation shows she has no intention of toning down her attacks despite the dangerous political climate that cost Charlie Kirk his life just weeks ago.
