During Trump’s four years in office, Sean Hannity was one of his biggest supporters in the media.
But Hannity recently made a big mistake.
And jaws dropped when Donald Trump released a statement rebuking Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity.
Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Select Committee recently released a number of text messages from Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity to members of the Trump administration.
In one message to former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, Hannity claimed he had a bad phone call with President Trump about Trump’s final days in office.
“Guys, we have a clear path to land the plane in 9 days. He can’t mention the election again. Ever. I did not have a good call with him today. And worse, I’m not sure what is left to do or say, and I don’t like not knowing if it’s truly understood. Ideas?” Hannity wrote to Meadows.
The January 6 Committee is nothing more than an unprecedented assault on the First Amendment and free press.
But that didn’t stop the Committee from demanding Sean Hannity show up and testify about his conversation with Mark Meadows about Donald Trump.
However, once these text messages became public, Donald Trump put out a statement ripping Hannity and saying critics drew the wrong impression about the text messages.
“I disagree with Sean on that statement and the facts are proving me right,” Trump’s statement read.
Hannity has been one of Trump’s biggest supporters in the media from day one.
But the January 6 Committee is determined to haul a commentator before a sham hearing to be cross examined over private conversations with government officials.
Of course, the Democrats and the Washington, D.C. Swamp live under a different set of rules now that Joe Biden is President.
No one in Congress would ever try to get a CNN host or other member of the corporate-controlled media to testify about private conversations with officials from the Biden administration.
But Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Committee is willing to trample the First Amendment protections for a free and fair press because she views it as an opportunity to damage Donald Trump’s political chances in 2024.
