Politicians occasionally make gaffes when giving a speech.
But this one takes the cake.
And jaws dropped when George W. Bush slipped up and revealed the biggest mistake of his life.
After George W. Bush bought into the phony intelligence that Saddam Hussein was in possession of weapons of mass destruction, he committed one of the biggest blunders in American history by invading Iraq.
The GOP establishment and the Bush family were completely discredited by the Iraq war, which led to thousands of lost American lives and tens of thousands more injured or wounded during combat.
As a result, Democrats won landslide elections in 2006 and 2008, placing Barack Obama in the White House and arming the Left with a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.
In 2016, one of Donald Trump’s biggest appeals was that he rejected George W. Bush’s foreign policy of nation building and policing the world.
During a recent talk he gave, George W. Bush slipped up and admitted that Donald Trump was right and the invasion of Iraq was a mistake.
When ripping Putin for invading Ukraine, instead of saying Ukraine, Bush said Iraq.

In a post on social media, Donald Trump Jr. ripped George W. Bush for taking 19 years to finally admit he made a huge mistake in invading Iraq.
“I wish he would have been this honest and critical of himself 20 years, countless lives, and trillions of dollars ago,” Trump Jr. posted on social media.
After he made the mistake, former President Bush corrected himself to say he meant to say Putin invaded Ukraine.
However, he added “Iraq, too,” leaving many to believe he was finally admitting the mistake he made nearly 20 years ago.
the "iraq, too" seems notable here.

Bush noted that he was nearly 75 years old as the reason for the mistake.
But it could also mean that Bush has finally decided to come clean about his decision to launch the war in Iraq and come to grips with the consequences.
