Elected as President of Mexico in 2018, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador maintained a cordial relationship with Donald Trump during his last two years in office.
A lot of Americans have been wondering if the friendship would carry over into the new Biden administration.
But jaws dropped when Mexico’s President said these two words about Joe Biden.
When Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was first elected President of Mexico in 2018, most of the Left cheered for him, as they expected him to serve as an enemy of Donald Trump.
However, Lopez Obrador and Donald Trump ended up working closely together on illegal immigration, with Lopez Obrador increasing border enforcement on his side of the border.
In fact, the two became so close that most media outlets referred to their friendship as an “unlikely bromance.”
But now that Joe Biden is President, a lot of folks were wondering if the friendship would carry over into the new White House.
And Lopez Obrador just revealed the answer in a scathing criticism of Joe Biden, referring to him as a “migrant President” whose policies are boosting illegal immigration and drug cartels.
“They see him as the migrant President, and so many feel they’re going to reach the United States,” Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said of Biden.
“We need to work together to regulate the flow, because this business can’t be tackled from one day to the next,” Lopez Obrador added.
Not only that, but according to one Mexican official who requested anonymity, cartels have been using sophisticated smuggling methods “from the day Biden took office.”
Those methods include keeping migrants up-to-date on the latest immigration rules, using technology to thwart authorities, and disguising smuggling operations as travel agencies.
And according to Reuters, plastic wristbands labeled in Spanish as “arrivals” or “entries” were found discarded near Penitas, Texas, after a caravan of illegal aliens snuck across the border.
“Migrants have become a commodity,” the official told Reuters. “But if a packet of drugs is lost in the sea, it’s gone. If migrants are lost, it’s human beings we’re talking about.”
Unfortunately, it appears that Biden’s promise of amnesty is serving as a clear message to human smugglers that now is the time to cross the border.
And government officials in Mexico aren’t happy with Joe Biden about it.
