Last week Joe Biden revealed his proposal for a massive $2.7 trillion infrastructure spending bill.
Biden expected every Democrat to fall in line behind him.
But jaws dropped when one Congressional Democrat went on Fox News and said this about Joe Biden’s massive spending bill.
The $2.7 spending bill released last week by Joe Biden is slam full of Green New Deal programs and social welfare disguised as infrastructure spending.
And during a recent interview with Fox News, host Neil Cavuto asked Missouri Democrat Emmanuel Cleaver about the fact that just 25 percent of the spending in Biden’s proposed infrastructure bill would actually be spent on infrastructure with the rest going to pay off Democrat Party constituencies.
“It seems to be heavy on the tax part, very heavy on spending as well, Congressman, that has nothing to do with infrastructure. And that’s what maybe worries some Republicans, maybe some of your more moderate colleagues, who think that however meritorious and kind it is to spend better than 400 billion on care for the elderly and disabled, it has nothing to do with infrastructure. What do you say to that?” Cavuto asked.
Of course, as Cavuto pointed out, the bill is full of massive spending on social welfare, including so-called climate change initiatives for development of electric cars and charging stations, electric federal vehicles, electric school busses and loads of other “clean energy” technology.
But jaws dropped when Cleaver unexpectedly agreed with Cavuto and admitted that the bill was chock full of welfare spending and other socialist giveaways designed to impose Green New Deal-type policies on the American people.
“I think that’s a legitimate point. I’ll say that anywhere. That’s a legitimate point. Here’s the challenge for us on that though: First of all, I think the president has opened the door. None of this is in concrete. He wants to sit down and I think he’s going to begin to invite Republicans over to the White House to discuss the funding and any other component of this,” Cleaver answered.
In fact, the bill even includes over $200 billion on affordable housing, research and training and development programs, as well as $400 billion on expanding healthcare.
Even though Joe Biden is trying to convince the American people that the bill is for infrastructure spending, Congressman Cleaver confirmed to Neil Cavuto that Republicans are correct when they call it a trojan horse for Democrat socialism.
