White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki frequently dances around tough questions by telling reporters she will “circle back” to them later.
But some members of the press are starting to push back and press Psaki for answers.
And Jen Psaki lost it when a Fox News correspondent called out Joe Biden for repeating this lie about Georgia’s election law.
Joe Biden keeps telling the American people that Georgia’s new election integrity law prevents working people from casting a ballot by closing the polls at 5pm, a statement that is patently false.
In fact, on Election Day, Georgia’s law requires all polls to remain open from 7AM to 7PM, and during Georgia’s 17 days of early voting, counties have the option to extend early voting hours up to 7PM as well.
Glen Kessler, “fact checker” for the Fake News Washington Post, even blasted Joe Biden over his false statement, giving him a four Pinocchio rating for it.
And on Monday, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy called out Biden by asking Psaki if he would stop lying about the Georgia law after the Washington Post’s four Pinocchio rating.
“Is the President going to change the way that he talks about the new Georgia voting law because . . . he said the law would end voting at 5:00 when working people are just getting off, and he said it would end voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over,” Doocy stated. “The Washington Post gave that claim four Pinocchios because that part of the law gives counties the option to extend voting hours. So, I’m just curious if the President is going to change the way that he’s talking about this.”
As usual, Psaki danced around the question, falsely claiming that the Georgia law made it harder to vote even though it expanded the number of early voting days.
However, Peter Doocy, who is not one to allow Jen Psaki off the hook so easily, doubled down and pressed Psaki for an answer.
“But the thing he said has been determined by election law experts to be not true, so I’m just curious if he’s going to stop saying it,” Doocy said.
“Well, again, I think we can — the fact checkers will also tell you that this bill does not make it easier for people across the state of Georgia to vote, and that’s where he has concern,” Psaki added, making it clear that Biden and the rest of the Democrat Party had every intention to continue to lie about the Georgia law.
Of course, the Democrats are lying about the Georgia law for two main reasons — to fire up their base ahead of the 2022 midterm elections and to help ratchet up pressure on Democrat Senators to nuke the filibuster and ram through H.R. 1 under the guise of protecting voter integrity.
