Russia’s move on Ukraine is the latest failure in the 13-month downward spiral since Joe Biden moved into the Oval Office.
Now his Press Secretary slipped up and told the truth about what’s happening.
And Jen Psaki’s slip-up gave Donald Trump some serious ammunition to use against Democrats.
Joe Biden isn’t the only person in his administration capable of going off topic and creating more unneeded headaches for Democrats in the process.
As White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki is supposed to be an expert communicator the President can count on to stick to the narrative no matter what.
But Psaki has a tendency to lose her way just like her boss—except that in her case, it can’t be blamed on age-related cognitive decline.
That doesn’t help Democrats who face the monumental task of explaining away why Joe Biden’s administration has devastated the country—along with large swaths of the world—before Election Day in November.
To make matters worse, Psaki threw Biden—and other Democrats along with him—under the bus during a recent interview on CNN when she was discussing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aggression over the years.
She mentioned that she worked at the state department the last time Putin invaded Ukraine—a move that ultimately resulted in Russia annexing Crimea.
“I was at the State Department, the President was the Vice President the last time Russia invaded Ukraine,” Psaki told CNN. “This is a pattern of horror from President Putin and from the cronies around him.”
Talk about a painful dose of truth.
Trump’s former campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, was quick to retweet a post from RNC Research gloating about Psaki’s accidental flirtation with reality when she noted the last time Putin made an aggressive move, Biden was the VP.

Naturally, Republicans are gleefully agreeing that this is indeed a pattern.
Putin obviously has zero respect for Biden and his establishment cohorts, but he wasn’t foolhardy enough to try anything when Donald Trump was in power.
This isn’t Psaki’s first gaffe as Press Secretary, but it’s likely among her last.
She’s already announced she plans to move on from her post this spring and executives from CNN and MSNBC seem to be fighting over who gets to sign her on as the centerpiece of their revamped primetime lineups.
Because what Americans really want is to hear more from the talking head associated with one of the least popular US presidents ever.
