Jill Biden sparks ‘secret signal’ controversy after her on camera actions caught viewers’ attention in trainwreck interview

Joy Behar and "The View" co-hosts failed to address Jill Biden's apparent signals to her husband during their interview as rumors swirled about a $30 million book deal.

Joy Behar and her co-hosts on The View bore witness to something unspeakable during Thursday’s interview with Joe and Jill Biden.

It’s not only Joe Biden’s responses that have viewers buzzing but also what Jill Biden was up to.

And now Jill Biden has sparked a ‘secret signal’ controversy after her on camera actions caught viewers’ attention in the Bidens’ trainwreck interview on The View.

Jill Biden made one jaw-dropping move on The View and none of the hosts peeped up

During Thursday’s interview on ABC’s The View, something strange happened that host Joy Behar and her colleagues chose not to address.

Former President Biden, 82, was answering co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin’s question about reports of “a sharp cognitive decline” during his final year in office.

After beginning his answer with relatively fluid speech, Biden abruptly stopped and declared: “I’ve spoken enough.”

That’s when Jill Biden immediately picked up the conversation without missing a beat, leading many viewers to speculate about what happened.

According to the Daily Mail, “Jill, who was sat beside her husband, picked up the answer without a beat, sparking theories she may have nudged him or kicked him under the table to shut him up.”

The timing seemed suspicious to many observers, particularly as this wasn’t the first time Jill has been accused of managing her husband’s public appearances.

Joy Behar and View co-hosts played along

Not a single host, including Joy Behar, questioned this unusual exchange during the interview.

Instead of pursuing what many viewers saw as an obvious moment of stage management, the hosts continued with their mostly friendly questions.

Whoopi Goldberg even downplayed Biden’s disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump last June as “just a bad night.”

The hosts appeared eager to help rehabilitate the Bidens’ image, with Ana Navarro quipping that Biden “could serve as the next Pope,” according to the Daily Mail.

Joy Behar, usually known for her direct questioning of political guests, remained noticeably silent about Biden’s mysterious bandage on his left hand – the same spot where he was previously seen with bruising.

The Daily Mail reported that this previous bruising had “sparked theories about whether he had undergone some kind of infusion for the benefit of his health.”

Multi-million dollar book deal on the horizon

This carefully managed appearance comes at an interesting time as the Bidens prepare for their post-White House careers.

According to reporting from the Daily Mail, “The appearance on The View also comes as a diary Jill Biden reportedly kept during their time in the White House is set to be used in a tell-all book.”

The Mail noted that insiders have revealed “the couple could land a book deal worth $30 million.”

This potential windfall would follow what the Mail describes as “a slew of embarrassing articles and books on Biden’s decline in office.”

The timing suggests The View appearance may have been part of an effort to shape public perception before the release of the Bidens’ own account of their time in the White House.

Biden’s struggles still evident despite managed appearance

Even with careful management, Biden’s health concerns were still apparent during the interview.

As reported by the Daily Mail, moments after Biden “jogged out to the studio, in an apparent attempt to look sprightly,” he “had to clear a huge lump of phlegm from his throat and paused his sentence to deal with the unpleasant vocal issue.”

This follows his BBC Radio 4 interview earlier in the week where, according to the Daily Mail, Biden “whispered, mumbled, coughed, and paused for long moments” during what was his first broadcast since leaving office.

The Mail also noted that Biden “raised eyebrows with his appearance at the funeral of Pope Francis last month, as he was seen gripping a priest’s arm as he struggled to walk down a set of stairs.”

Despite these continuing signs of frailty, Joy Behar and her View co-hosts seemed determined to avoid addressing them directly.

Jill Biden “angrily denied ‘sequestering'” her husband during Thursday’s appearance, but many viewers at home observed what appeared to be her continued management of his public interactions.
