Right after the House GOP caucus voted in a behind closed doors secret ballot to remove Jordan as the next Speaker designee, disgraced former Speaker Kevin McCarthy endorsed his fellow RINO House Majority Whip Tom Emmer to be the next Speaker.
Emmer is a Minnesota Republican Congressman who once worked for Soros-affiliated groups.
He also has a voting record more aligned with Democrats than with his fellow Republicans.
Emmer voted to raise the debt ceiling, impose homosexual marriage, and even to fund Joe Biden’s open borders agenda.
Despite these Democrat votes it appeared Emmer was well on his way to securing the votes necessary to become Speaker after some key Democrats indicated they might support his bid.
But the Swamp was in for a rude awakening that no one saw coming.
First, Donald Trump came out against Emmer’s speaker candidacy and then the opposition within the rank-and-file GOP started growing.
This caused more GOP House members to come out against Emmer.
“At least 12 Republicans are opposed to Tom Emmer under any circumstances,” a top GOP source told Breitbart News.
“I think it’s more,” a second Republican told Breitbart, “This thing is blowing up.”
Emmer then began facing mounting pressure to pledge to remove RINO Texas Congresswoman Kay Granger from her position as Chairwoman of the Appropriations Committee.
Granger was one of the 25 establishment sell-outs who opposed Jim Jordan’s bid for Speaker.
Conservative Indiana Congressman Jim Banks went so far as to tell Breitbart that not only should the next Speaker immediately remove Granger as Appropriations chairwoman but that and all 25 RINOs who voted against Jordan should face Primary challengers.
“Kay Granger doesn’t deserve to be chairwoman of the Appropriations Committee,” Banks stated. “She’s blocking the most fiscally conservative choice we’ve ever had to be the Speaker of the House. And she should lose her gavel for that.”
“She’s leading a bunch of members on her committee to block the conservative and the majority’s choice to be the Speaker of the House. It is totally shameful. And I hope every Republican voter in their districts wake up and vote against them in their primaries,” Banks added.
Emmer clearly did not answer this question to the conservative members’ satisfaction and then in a shocking turn Emmer dropped out of contention for the Speaker’s post.
This sent the House GOP into another marathon of voting for someone to take the helm.
And after another 9 candidates stepped forward the GOP caucus finally settled on Louisiana Republican Mike Johnson.
He too will face questions about if he intends to remove Granger as Appropriations Committee Chairwoman.
If Johnson gives the wrong answer to this question he’ll face major conservative opposition when taking up the Speaker’s gavel.
