But Jim Jordan just pointed out a new crisis occurring at the border.
According to reports, individuals listed in the Terrorist Screening Database were caught at the border trying to sneak into the United States.
In 2021, Fox News reported that the Border Patrol apprehended 23 individuals flagged as potential terrorists.
Not only that, but another report issued by Representative Chip Roy showed that since Biden took office, 42 people on the watch list have tried to enter the country.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appeared before the House Judiciary Committee to take questions about the terrorist threat at the border.
Congressman Jim Jordan drilled Mayorkas for answers about what happened to these suspected terrorists caught trying to enter the United States.
“Secretary, have any of the 42 illegal migrants on the terrorist watch list or no-fly list encountered on our southwest border been released into the United States?” Jordan asked.
“Ranking Member Jordan, as I mentioned before, I will provide that data to you with respect to the disposition of each one. I do not know the answer to your question,” Mayorkas replied.
“The Secretary of Homeland Security does not know the answer to the status of 42 individuals who came to our southern border illegally, are on the no fly list, and the — and the no — and the terrorist watch list. You do not — do not know whether they have been released or not into the country. That’s your testimony,” Jordan remarked.
“Ranking Member Jordan, as I’ve said before, I will provide you the data. I do want to –” replied Mayorkas.
Jordan interrupted him, saying, “I yield back to the gentleman. That’s amazing. I yield back.”
Mayorkas is in charge of keeping America safe.
Yet he has absolutely no clue whether or not the Biden administration released these potential terrorists back into the country.
The crime tsunami from illegal aliens and a public health crisis from dangerous drugs like fentanyl were already major problems for Americans as a result of Biden’s border crisis.
But Americans now have to worry about a potential terrorist slipping into the United States.
Unfortunately, Joe Biden doesn’t seem to care.
He’s too deeply committed to his open borders agenda to do anything about the crisis.
