For eight years, the American people saw numerous scandals involving the Obama regime get swept under the rug by their lapdog regime media allies.
As far as the corporate-controlled media and Deep State were concerned they could simply make it all go away.
But now Jim Jordan may have saved this crucial evidence in one of Barack Obama’s biggest crimes from being destroyed.
Throughout the first few years of Barack Obama’s Presidency, officials within his Justice Department ran Operation Fast and Furious, a scheme in which they would sell some 2,000 firearms to criminals with the supposed goal of tracking them back to traffickers and drug cartels.
Apparently, the Obama regime believed it was a wise idea to sell thousands of guns to some of the most deranged criminals on the planet.
To their shock, though, most of the guns were never tracked and simply ended up being used to commit countless crimes against countless innocent Americans, before the entire scheme fell apart when drug smugglers used the firearms to murder Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in Arizona.
Documents ultimately revealed that the Obama Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) grand plan was to use crimes and deaths than came as a result of Operation Fast and Furious – again, an operation they ran to sell guns to criminals – to push gun control on law-abiding Americans.
To keep the American people in the dark about Operation Fast and Furious, Obama Attorney General Eric Holder even went so far as to become the first Cabinet Member in history to be held in Contempt of Congress after he refused to turn over documents related to the operation.
But despite all of the damage the Obama regime’s scheme caused – not to mention ongoing criminal investigations into the matter – the ATF is reportedly trying to destroy all of the evidence associated with Operation Fast and Furious.
According to reports, the ATF made the decision to destroy the evidence after “thousands of firearms, firearm parts, and ammunition had been stolen” from a West Virginia storage site.
The firearms – aka the evidence of one of the Obama regime’s biggest crimes – were apparently stored on top of a gun safe, leading the ATF’s Inspector General to determine that the evidence was no longer “useful.”
Fortunately, though, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has stepped up to try and help stop the ATF from destroying the evidence, penning a letter in which he warned the agency to pump the brakes.
“Although the ATF apparently intends to forget its dangerous misconduct in Operation Fast and Furious, the scandal is still a matter of public concern,” Jordan wrote. “Given the potential for ongoing criminal and possible civil actions, it is not in the interest of justice for the ATF to destroy potential evidence associated with Operation Fast and Furious.”
Oddly enough, the ATF’s own policy in the past has always been to hold onto anything that could possibly be used as evidence in future cases, yet when it comes to the Obama regime, suddenly those rules change.
The ATF has attempted to claim that all criminal and civil lawsuits over Operation Fast and Furious have concluded, and therefore, they should be able to destroy the evidence.
But as Congressman Jordan pointed out, there are still criminal investigations ongoing that involve Operation Fast and Furious, and for which the evidence could be crucial to producing a just verdict.
“Earlier this year, prosecutors in Mexico charged seven individuals with crimes related to Operation Fast and Furious, including Mexico’s former top police official and a former Mexican Federal Police Commander,” the Ohio Congressman added.
The Deep State is once again trying to cover-up the crimes and scandals of powerful left-wing radical elitists.
But if Jim Jordan has anything to say about, Barack Obama may finally face the consequences for one of his regime’s biggest crimes.
