Senate Democrats recently slammed through an atrocious spending plan during a weekend session.
On the agenda: jacking up taxes by hundreds of millions and printing hundreds of billions of new dollars for their socialist spending wish list.
To top it off they have the gall to name their disastrous plan—the exact kind of behavior that caused runaway inflation in the first place—The Inflation Reduction Act.
Conservatives called it out for what it is: the Inflation Acceleration Act.
Part of the spending monstrosity includes nearly doubling the size of the IRS by hiring a shocking 87,000 new agents.
During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Sunday Morning Futures, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) revealed some of the worst elements of the Democrat’s latest disastrous scheme.
“The Democrats are on the verge of ramming through what really is a terrible bill,” Senator Cruz said. “This bill will hammer manufacturing. It will kill manufacturing jobs in this country. It will hammer small businesses. This bill will drive up gas prices. It has billions in new taxes on U.S. oil and gas production.”
“We introduced amendments trying to take those new taxes out, so all the Democrats say they’re worried and want to lower gas prices—they all just voted to raise gas taxes and to raise your price at the pump,” he declared.
He also warned that doubling the IRS will make it bigger than the Pentagon, State Department, Border Patrol, and FBI combined.
He also predicts the massive force of new IRS agents will be tasked with targeting middle income Americans and small business owners.
“This bill creates 87,000 new IRS agents,” Senator Cruz explained. “It doubles the size of the IRS. Those IRS agents are designed to come after you. They’re not designed to come after the billionaires and the big corporations. They’re designed to come after small businesses and working families across this country.”
“The Democrats are making the IRS bigger than the Pentagon, plus the Department of State, plus the FBI, plus the Border Patrol combined,” he continued. “The IRS is going to be bigger. This is a massive power grab.”
Joe Biden claimed he wouldn’t raise taxes on any American making less than $400,000 per year.
But that was just one more lie.
The Inflation Acceleration Act will steal more wealth from all Americans than any single tax ever could.
