Joe Biden is used to the mainstream media worshiping the ground he walks on.
But that is changing following his historic failure in Afghanistan.
And Joe Biden cried himself to sleep after how badly this ABC interview went for him.
Joe Biden was hoping that being President would be easy.
He wanted the fame, but none of the responsibility, apparently.
For a while, that is what he was getting.
The mainstream media wasn’t talking about his failures, and he was wining and dining with Hollywood celebrities – much like his pal Barack Obama did for eight years.
But all of that has come crashing down with his failed troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Everything that could go wrong went wrong, and even the mainstream media couldn’t excuse him for the failures.
During an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, that was proven.
“Back in July, you said a Taliban takeover was highly unlikely. Was the intelligence wrong or did you downplay it?” Stephanopoulos asked.
A clearly nervous Biden responded, “I think, there was no consensus. If you go back and look back on the intelligence reports, they said that it was more likely to be by some time at the end of the year.”
Stephanopoulos hit Biden back with the fact that Biden had never given a timeline, stating: “You didn’t put a timeline out when you said it was highly unlikely. You just said flat out it’s highly unlikely the Taliban would take over.”
“Yeah. Well, the question was whether or not it — the idea that the Taliban would take over was premised on the notion that the — somehow the 300,000 troops we had trained and equipped was just going to collapse, they were going to give up. I don’t think anybody anticipated that,” Biden stumbled over the words coming out of his mouth.
The ABC reporter responded, “So, you don’t think this could have been handled – this actually could have been handled better in any way, no mistakes?”
Biden followed up insisting that no matter what he did it would have ended in failure, stating:
“No, I don’t think it could have been handled in a way that — we’re going to go back in hindsight and look. But the idea that somehow there’s a way to have gotten out without chaos ensuing, I don’t know how that happens. I don’t know how that happened.”
It’s apparent to everyone that Joe Biden failed in Afghanistan.
But for Joe Biden, he’s either so far gone mentally that he really believes he’s not at fault or he’s lying.
