Joe Biden’s cognitive decline has been on display more and more over the past few months.
His handlers do their best to protect him by pre-selecting reporters who will ask easy questions that Joe can answer from the simple scripts on the notecards he carries in his pocket.
But Joe Biden finally took a non-scripted question. And what happened next is worrisome.
President Trump previously negotiated a deal to withdraw all American troops from Afghanistan by May 1.
But Joe Biden dropped the ball on that deadline and delayed the full withdrawal until August 31.
It’s clear by now Joe Biden botched Trump’s plan for a successful withdrawal of all American forces from Afghanistan.
So much so that Joe Biden was not only forced to deliver a speech recently addressing his failure to follow Trump’s plan, but Biden also had to take a few questions from reporters afterwards.
And for once, the questions were unscripted, which didn’t go well for Joe Biden.
After answering one question by claiming America went to Afghanistan for two reasons, Biden got confused and couldn’t remember the two reasons.
Finally, Biden’s memory returned and he claimed America went to war in Afghanistan to kill Osama bin Laden and deny the Taliban a base of operations to stage terror attacks.

But this doesn’t make sense coming from Joe Biden.
After all, Joe Biden opposed the raid that killed Osama bin Laden in 2011 and advised against it as Vice President.
Of course, under normal circumstances, Biden would appear as just another politician trying to rewrite history to help brush their embarrassing moments under the rug.
But given Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, the reality is that Joe Biden may not actually remember that he opposed killing Osama bin Laden in 2011.
