Joe Biden’s narrative around his classified documents scandal is collapsing under scrutiny.
Democrats are parroting the narrative that Biden mistakenly brought documents home with him and has been cooperating with federal investigators from the start.
But as more evidence surfaces, this narrative continues to fall apart for Biden.
Biden recently sat down for an interview with PBS’s Judy Woodruff.
During the interview, Biden gave the same response to a question that he previously attacked Donald Trump for saying.
“You said just possessing classified documents is ‘totally irresponsible?’ So, what was totally irresponsible about the fact that you had them?” Woodruff asked.
Last September, Biden ripped Trump during an interview on 60 Minutes for allegedly bringing classified documents to his home at Mar-a-Lago.
Biden called Trump’s mistake “totally irresponsible.”
“How could that possibly happen?” Biden replied in September. “How could anyone be that irresponsible? And I thought, ‘What data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?’”
But Woodruff just asked Biden the same question.
And his response was shocking.
“They’ve informed me not to speak to this issue, to try not to prejudice the investigation that is going on,” Biden replied.
Of course, Biden attacked Trump when he took the 5th Amendment during the Ukraine sham impeachment.
Biden said that Trump taking the 5th Amendment would be “abdicating the responsibility of the Presidency.”
But when it comes to his documents, Biden is blaming the folks who “packed up my office” for not searching his files thoroughly.
Biden claimed federal authorities only seized “stray papers” from him and pushed the narrative that he has been working alongside investigators the entire time.
“I’m not at liberty, and I’m not even sure, I made it voluntarily, no one’s had to threaten to do anything, I volunteer everything I have for them to come and look and search my home — spend hours searching my home,” Biden said. “I invited them.”
After Biden’s personal attorneys found documents at his home in Delaware, the FBI threatened to get a search warrant.
Now Biden is making excuses with his growing scandal.
But his excuses are running out quickly.
