The Democrat establishment has put forth a valiant effort to keep their core voter base united behind President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.
Unfortunately for them, though, their best efforts have proven to be wholly insufficient in convincing anyone with a brain that Biden is not only fit for office despite being 80-years-old and suffering from declining mental and physical faculties, but also that his Presidency hasn’t been a total disaster despite all the evidence Americans have experienced to the contrary each day.
As a result, President Biden’s approval ratings have continued to plummet.
On top of that, a recent CBS News poll indicated that former President Donald Trump is now leading Biden by 3-points nationally, while – most importantly for Republicans – another poll conducted by The New York Times and Siena College Research Institute also indicated that the former President is leading the Democrat President in five of the top-six battleground states many believe will ultimately decide the election’s outcome.
And worst of all, President Biden’s fellow Democrats are beginning to have second thoughts, and many are even going so far as to publicly call for him to step down as the Party’s 2024 nominee to allow another Democrat to fill the void.
One such Democrat is former Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH), who previously challenged Biden for the 2020 Democrat Presidential nomination.
During a recent interview with CNN’s Kasie Hunt, Ryan attempted to make the case that President Biden should not run for re-election and immediately step down as the Party’s nominee – while also attempting to soften his betrayal of Biden by also calling for Trump to step down as the Republican nominee, as well.
“I don’t think Trump should run,” Ryan said. “I don’t think President Biden should run. We have talent in the Democratic Party. There are some leaders in the Republican Party who are willing to take on the insurrectionists and take on Trump, and I think those candidates should be considered as well, but the whole country wants to move on.”
The former Democrat Congressman went on to urge Biden to save face by ending his re-election efforts, and focusing instead on the ruling class elites’ proxy war with Russia in Ukraine and the latest Middle East war between Israel and Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas.
“I think that it would be the right thing to do for the President to not run, for him to focus on what’s going on in the Middle East, focus on what’s going on in Ukraine,” Ryan said. “Spend the next 14 months focusing on that and let new candidates emerge in the Democratic Party.”
Ryan also pointed out how big of a red flag it should be for Democrats that their incumbent President is currently losing to a candidate they have specifically weaponized the justice system to stop with countless witch hunt indictments.
“The guy’s getting indicted in four different states on 90-something different counts!” Ryan exclaimed. “He led an insurrection against the country! For it to even be this close, let alone he’s winning in these blue states where we should be up huge, that just shows how bad the Democratic Party brand is and how unfortunately people are looking at President Biden not quite connecting to them on the issues that are important to them.”
Needless to say, Democrats are starting to wake up to the reality of the 2024 election.
And they don’t like what they see.
