On Monday, after Houthi rebels out of Yemen attacked oil production facilities, Saudi officials declared that they “won’t bear any responsibility” for a shortage in global oil supplies.
“The international community must assume its responsibility to maintain energy supplies” in order to “stand against the Houthis,” the Foreign Ministry was quoted as saying by the Saudi Press Agency.
With Americans facing record-high gas prices, Joe Biden is trying to pass the blame to others.
A temporary drop in oil output occurred over the weekend after Yemen rebels launched a series of attacks against the kingdom’s oil and natural gas production.
Right now, the extent of the damage remains unknown.
But a petroleum distribution tank in the Saudi port city of Jeddah caught fire after enduring drone and missile strikes.
Biden vowed to support Saudi Arabia while also condemning the strikes.
Senior officials in the Biden administration report that America has sent a massive number of Patriot anti-missile interceptors to help them defend against any future attacks.
In 2019, Saudi Arabia lost half its oil production after two key oil installations were attacked.
The recent attacks were the most intense Houthi barrages since the 2019 attacks.
A statement released by the Saudi government said that the repeated Houthi attacks are affecting “the kingdom’s production capacity and its ability to meet its obligations, threatening the security and stability of energy supplies to global markets.”
Biden is desperate to shift the blame for his many failures to anyone he can.
Unfortunately, Biden could even be wishing for a World War to break out in order to take attention away from his disastrous Presidency before the Midterm elections.
