Joe Biden is losing allies by the day over his growing classified documents scandal.
Members of his own Party are offering him no solace.
And now he is pacing the floor after Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner just handed him some really bad news.
Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) serves as the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
During an interview with CBS’ Face the Nation, the powerful Intel Committee Chairman became the latest Democrat to publicly speak out about Biden’s growing stolen classified documents scandal.
Appearing alongside ranking Intelligence Committee member Marco Rubio (R-FL), Warner took issue with Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines’ damage assessment briefing for recovered documents.
“I know the two of you were briefed by the Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines. Do you have any timeline in terms of when you will get visibility into the documents of classified material that both President Biden and President Trump had in their residences?” host Margaret Brennan asked Warner and Rubio.
Warner took the question and essentially accused Joe Biden of running a cover up to hide the scandal.
“Margaret, unfortunately, no. And this Committee has had a long, bipartisan history of doing its job, and our job here is intelligence oversight. The Justice Department has had the Trump documents about six months, the Biden documents about three months. Our job is not to figure if somebody mishandled those, our job is to make sure there’s not an intelligence compromise. And while the Director of National Intelligence had been willing to brief us earlier, now that you’ve got the Special Counsel, the notion that we’re going to be left in limbo and we can’t do our job, that just cannot stand,” Warner answered.
So far, no Democrats are speaking up and offering a full-throated defense of Joe Biden over the stolen documents.
Of course, there is a simple but likely explanation for why the administration is refusing to come clean about the contents of the documents from Trump and Biden’s homes.
The documents Trump stored at Mar-a-Lago did not contain any information that damages national security or places harm on the country.
But many believe Joe Biden stole documents related to Ukraine that he then passed along to Hunter to use for his shady business deals.
