A new court case revealed another major scandal for Joe Biden.
Hunter Biden has been the central focus of the investigation into potential influence peddling by his father.
And the Daily Mail just obtained a bombshell affidavit that has James Biden front and center in the public spotlight.
However, Joe Biden’s younger brother James was also involved in Hunter’s shady business dealings.
James Biden used “his position and relationship” with then-Vice President Joe Biden to broker a $140 million business deal between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and an American construction company in 2012.
Hill International is a construction company that was in a dispute with the Saudi government for work dating back to the 1980s on desalination plants in the country.
The disputed bill is over $140 million, so James Biden came on board to negotiate.
The law firm Lankford & Reed, which Hill International used to retrieve its money from Saudi Arabia, wrote in a court affidavit that James Biden was only hired for the purpose of avoiding the firm’s 40% fee outlined in their contract.
Lankford hired Thomas Sullivan, a former Treasury Department official, as the private investigator to conduct the interview with James Biden.
Sullivan went on record in a sworn affidavit about what all he was told by James Biden, who told him that he was hired to handle “business development” for Hill and was given their Saudi Arabian portfolio.
James Biden told Sullivan that he represented Hill in important meetings “because, of course, the name didn’t hurt.”
“I asked specifically if he had attended a meeting with the Saudi Ministry of Trade in mid-February 2012 to receive the final payment for the work Hill had performed. He answered that, to the best of his memory, he had been at such a meeting, and that the reason he had attended was ‘because of his position and relationship’ with his brother,” Sullivan said.
According to James’ wife, Sara, Joe Biden and her husband always “told each other everything.”
Thomas Lankford, a partner at Lankford & Reed, said his firm brokered a tentative deal with the Saudis that Hill backed out of after James Biden met with them.
Since the Saudis “would not dare stiff the brother of the Vice President who would be instrumental to the deal,” Lankford wrote in another affidavit that Hill International CEO Irvin Richter informed him that James Biden told Sullivan that he negotiated a deal with the Saudis for future projects and loads of cash.
After James Biden was hired, Hill secured $358 million in contracts over the next decade in Saudi Arabia even though the company did virtually zero business there.
Joe Biden is worried that this once-secret deal with Saudi Arabia will now be a huge problem for his family with the GOP in control of the House.
