Joe Biden’s first year as president has been a disaster and his son Hunter’s constant legal problems aren’t helping.
From drug issues to connections to communist leaders Hunter Biden is not helping his Dad’s approval ratings.
And Joe Biden is running for cover after this jaw-dropping news about his headache-that-won’t-quit son Hunter.
Joe Biden can’t afford anymore issues.
His approval rating is in the toilet, and he can’t seem to get it together.
Despite the Left’s best efforts, they can’t keep the Hunter Biden headlines out of the press cycle.
That latest upheaval involves Hunter joining a Chinese investment firm named BHR back in 2013, which he later purchased a 10% stake in in 2017.
While Joe Biden was Vice President under Barack Obama, BHR was involved in the sale of one of the world’s biggest cobalt mines in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the year before Hunter secured his stake.
BHR facilitated the mine’s sale from an American company to a Communist Chinese backed company.
The entire deal was $3.8 billion of which Hunter Biden’s BHR took home a nice $1.1 billion for their efforts.
Cobalt is one of the key competitors in creating the batteries used in electric cars and The New York Times reported on Hunter’s cobalt deal as part of a larger story about the Chinese buying up cobalt reserves in the Congo.
This all comes right as Joe Biden’s bloated $3.5 trillion “human infrastructure” bill is overflowing with billions in handouts for electric vehicles.
American electric vehicle makers like Tesla have taken to purchasing their own cobalt mines to keep up with demand.
So, as electric vehicle makers and Joe Biden pushed for America to have more control of cobalt, Hunter Biden’s company was putting a very important cobalt mine in the Congo – which has 70% of the available supply – in the hands of the Communist Chinese.
Understandably, that’s calling into question Biden’s self-avowed “tough on China” stance since his son is benefiting quite handsomely off of Chinese business connections.
Joe Biden has made enough of his own mistakes over the last year, he certainly doesn’t need Hunter adding to his bad poll numbers.
