Joe Biden campaigned as a “moderate” Democrat during the 2020 Presidential election.
But he’s spent the past two months pushing the Democrats’ far left agenda.
And Joe Biden just broke this one major campaign promise that will cause Democrats political pain in 2022.
Even though Joe Biden ran on a $4 trillion tax increase, he promised the American people that no one making less than $400,000 per year would see a tax increase.
“I’m not going to raise taxes on a single solitary American making less than $400,000 a year. You won’t pay a penny more. It’s a guarantee,” Biden declared in October.
But now that he’s President, Joe Biden is going back on his promise not to raise taxes on individuals making less than $400,000 per year.
According to White House Secretary Jen Psaki, the $400,000 income threshold only applies to household income.
The New York Post reports:
White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday clarified that President Biden’s proposed tax hike would apply to people who earn $200,000 per year if they are married to someone who makes the same amount.
Psaki said at her daily press briefing that the proposed $400,000 threshold for tax increases applies to “families” rather than individuals.
Based on Jen Psaki’s clarification, Joe Biden’s tax hike will affect a lot of Americans who make less than $400,000 per year.
Of course, if Joe Biden had told the truth about his tax hike during the campaign, the election would have likely gone a different way on November 6.
But now that he’s President, the American people are finding out that he is really a figure head radical liberal who supports the Democrats’ entire socialist agenda.
And his $4 trillion tax hike may come back to haunt Democrats in 2022.
