Everyone expected Attorney General Merrick Garland would cover for Joe Biden to a point.
But the Swamp is full of alligators.
When White House lawyers found yet another stash of classified documents in President Joe Biden’s Delaware home, something broke.
When it became clear Biden’s classified document scandal is too big to sweep under the rug, Attorney General Merrick Garland made a shocking move that has many doubting what’s really behind it.
Biden found himself a victim of the Democrats’ relentless crusade to further its leftist agenda at any cost.
This scandal gives Democrats the perfect excuse to finally take Biden out of the running for President in 2024 while looking like they care about doing the right thing.
Garland made his move by appointing Robert Hur, a former U.S. Attorney appointed by Donald Trump, to investigate Biden’s reckless handling of classified documents during and following his tenure as Vice President.
After Trump appointed him, Hur was unanimously confirmed by the Senate.
But he left government employment in early 2021 to open a private practice in Washington, D.C.
“Earlier today, I signed an order appointing Robert Hur a special counsel for the matter I have just described,” Garland announced after revealing that a second batch of classified documents had been uncovered. “The document authorizes him to investigate whether any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter.”
Garland was the main force behind the most recent political witch hunt targeting former President Donald Trump when he had FBI agents dramatically raid Mar-a-Lago last year.
In November, Garland dug up an Obama-era political hack, Jack Smith, to dig into whether the Justice Department’s hyped-up claims that documents Trump took for his Presidential archives were still classified.
Of course, the real purpose of the investigation was a desperate attempt to dig up a smoking gun for the dying January 6 Special Committee.
In comparison, the Biden classified document situation is a scandal of epic proportions considering that investigators are already swimming in evidence that Hunter Biden has been profiting off his father’s proximity to power to the tune of millions.
The unreliable First Son also had access to the home where two out of three stashes of classified documents have been uncovered.
After spending last year campaigning to take down Trump over a document raid that included collecting items as irrelevant as the former President’s passports and a souvenir cocktail napkin, Garland found himself backed in a corner.
The easiest way out is to finally rid the Democrats of the political liability the Biden Family has become.
But while that could be Garland’s motive, it doesn’t appear the Democrat mouthpieces in the mainstream media have gotten that memo, and they’re still circling the wagons.
On the other hand it could be Biden’s top hatchet man and the media elites are all trying to distract Americans from something that goes much deeper.
