Joe Biden is in his final two months in office.

Even Democrats can’t wait for Biden to be gone.

And now Joe Biden made one confession about Adam Schiff that shook Democrats to the core.

Joe Biden’s pardon scheme

Joe Biden pardoning Hunter Biden had Republicans shaking their heads in disgust.

Biden issuing a blanket pardon for any criminal act committed dating back to January 2014 confirmed for many conservatives that they were over the target with their accusation that Hunter Biden was using foreign business deals to Ukraine and China to illegally sell influence to then Vice President Joe Biden.

But the Biden pardon spree is just beginning.

POLITICO’s left-wing propagandist Jonathan Martin reported that the top levels of the Biden administration are debating issuing blanket pardons for allies who they fear could face criminal prosecution by the Trump Justice Department.

“Those who could face exposure include such members of Congress’ Jan. 6 Committee as Senator-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and former GOP Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming. Trump has previously said Cheney “should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!” Also mentioned by Biden’s aides for a pardon is Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became a lightning rod for criticism from the right during the Covid-19 pandemic,” Martin reported.

Elected Democrats urged Biden to issue blanket pardons for the likes of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Liz Cheney and Adam Schiff.

“If it’s clear by January 19 that [revenge] is his intention, then I would recommend to President Biden that he provide those preemptive pardons to people, because that’s really what our country is going to need next year,” Massachusetts Senator Edward Markey said during a local radio interview.

“This is no hypothetical threat,” a statement from Pennsylvania Democrat Brendan Boyle read. “The time for cautious restraint is over. We must act with urgency to push back against these threats and prevent Trump from abusing his power.”

At least one of the potential recipients of the pardon claimed they didn’t want or seek one.

“I would urge the president not to do that,” Adam Schiff declared. “I think it would seem defensive and unnecessary.”

Schiff’s not eager for a pardon because of the 1915 Supreme Court case Burdick v. United States.

A tacit admission of guilt

In that case the court ruled that accepting a pardon carries “an imputation of guilt and acceptance of a confession of it.”

Biden pardoning Schiff, Cheney, and Fauci means they would be accepting guilt for any crime committed during the period laid out in the pardon.

For Schiff and Cheney, the pardon would likely cover obstruction of justice charges for allegations the January 6 Committee destroyed evidence.

Dr. Fauci would get a pardon to prevent criminal charges for lying to Congress about funding gain of function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology and for potentially playing a role in the creation of the coronavirus pandemic.

Martin writes that Schiff and other potential pardon recipients speaking out against Biden issuing clemency may just be partaking in false bravado.

“Some senior Democrats I spoke with, however, wonder how many of those facing retribution are adopting a version of the vote-no-hope-yes mantra that often surrounds difficult legislative votes. Which is to say: Some may publicly oppose preemptive pardons, for reasons of innocence or precedence, while privately hoping the president offers legal protection,” Martin wrote.

If Biden follows through with these pardons, it will set the precedent that Democrats and their allies can engage in a four year crime spree knowing that the President will shield them from legal accountability on his way out the door.
