Joe Biden assumed he could always count on the corporate media to have his back no matter what.
That’s why he’s been leaning on them to try and save his failing Presidency.
But now Joe Biden has taken the mainstream media to the woodshed for one reason that no one saw coming.
With the 2024 elections looming larger and larger, President Joe Biden continues to preside over one of the worst economies in decades.
He’s repeatedly attempted to claim that his economic agenda, known as “Bidenomics,” would “grow the economy from the bottom up and the middle out.”
But instead, the cost of living has continued to skyrocket during his Presidency with soaring inflation and ever-increasing interest rates.
That’s why the American people are angry about the Biden economy and have continued to give him low marks in every major poll for his poor handling of it.
And based on the polls, the public doesn’t believe it’s going to come back anytime soon.
In fact, a recent Rasmussen poll found that a paltry 34% of Americans think the economy has any chance of improving this year.
The Federal Reserve and many economists are predicting that economic growth will actually begin to slow down even more, and that unemployment is going to rise throughout the new year.
The increasing dismal state of the American economy has become a five-alarm political fire for Biden as he tries to ramp up his re-election campaign.
So now Biden and the Democrats are beginning to blame media coverage for the public’s negative views of the economy.
Shortly before Christmas the embattled President angrily lashed out at the media for their coverage of the economy.
“All good. Take a look. Start reporting it the right way,” Biden said when a reporter asked his prediction on the economy for 2024.
The Brookings Institution, a left-wing think tank and strong Biden ally, came to the aid of the White House with a white paper blaming the mainstream media for the public’s negative perception of the economy.
“The seeming disconnect between consumer sentiment and the state of the macroeconomy has been a defining characteristic of the post-COVID economy,” the Brookings Institution wrote.
Biden and his radical left-wing allies think they can simply repeat talking points about the economy being great and that the public should shut up and accept it.
The Brookings Institution even blamed the corporate media for its coverage of the economy, claiming they were misinforming the public’s opinion.
The paper claimed that the media is “driving inaccurate perceptions about U.S. economic performance” and without any irony wrote that “negative bias” in economic coverage had grown since Biden took office.
The White House is now using the Brooking Institution paper to try to browbeat the media in closed-door meetings into giving them better coverage.
Biden has also blamed his collapsing approval rating and poll numbers on media coverage.
“All they’ve heard is negative news for three years. Everything is negative,” Biden whined in a MSNBC interview last year. “I’m not being critical of the press, but you turn on the television — the only way you’re gonna get a hit is if there’s something negative, you know. You don’t — anyway, that’s number one.”
Joe Biden has no answers on the economy, so now he’s turning to scapegoating the press for his failures in office.
And he is ignoring the fact that Americans can tell how bad things are every time they go to the store or try to fill up their gas tank.
