Many political insiders believe Democrat’s best chance of holding the White House is to replace Joe Biden at the top of the ticket.
For that reason, the entire Party is nervously waiting on pins and needles for a decision from the President on his 2024 plans.
And those plans were just leaked by this big wig close to President Biden.
Former President Donald Trump waited exactly one week following the 2022 midterms to announce a third run at the White House.
So far, Donald Trump and former Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton are the only announced candidates in the 2024 Presidential campaign for either party.
But that could change soon.
According to one Democrat Party power player, Americans are in store for a 2020 rematch in the next election cycle.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Jamie Harrison recently let it slip to online outlet theGiro that Biden will soon announce he’s running for re-election.
Harrison added that his prediction is based on conversations he’s had with the President.
And he says the DNC and the rest of the Democrat Party machine is “fully equipped” and ready to assist.
“We’re going to win,” Harrison said. “We have a plan which we have been executing, in a flawless manner, to continue to deliver for the American people. So, I’m very bullish … but we just got to put in the work. That’s what we’re going to do and that’s what we have been doing.”
Americans are still waiting to see any positive results from this “concrete plan” Harrison mentioned.
Harrison went on to call the GOP a “circus,” while talking about Trump and other rumored Republican White House hopefuls, like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“What I worry about is not whether or not we can beat these folks — because I believe we can,” Harrison said. “I worry about the impact they will have on American democracy.”
The “danger to democracy” line is straight out of the Biden playbook.
He’s bragged on the national stage about “bipartisanship” while calling Republicans “Ultra MAGA extremists” who pose a “clear and present danger to democracy.”
While Harrison is confident in Biden’s chances of winning a second term in the Oval Office, voters aren’t so sure.
President Biden’s approval numbers are still in the tank.
In fact, the current Real Clear Politics average of polling has him sitting 10-points underwater.
And surveys show Americans don’t want Biden to bother with a re-election bid.
A CNBC All-America Economic Survey found 70% of voters hope Biden retires at the end of his current term – while only 19% have their fingers crossed hoping for an additional four-years of the Biden administration.
The fact is, not even rank-and-file Democrats want Biden to run again in 2024.
The same poll found a majority of Democrat voters – 57% – say Biden should settle for a single term in the Oval Office.
