Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan is the biggest failure of his administration.
That says a lot already. But the corporate-controlled media won’t even defend Biden on this one.
And Joe Biden’s Presidency will be forever haunted by this one video of his Deputy National Security Advisor.
In a video posted on social media, Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Filner congratulated Biden for supposedly securing the Kabul Airport to evacuate the thousands of Americans left trapped behind enemy lines in Afghanistan.
In the video, Filner boasted “that mission was accomplished.”
Second, our most important job right now is to provide security and stability at the international airport in Kabul. That mission was accomplished, in large part, because we planned for it. President Biden ordered the prepositioning of U.S. forces in the region, and deployed those forces in recent days to ensure that security and stability could be brought to the airport. [Cymbals crash] There are now several thousand Americans troops providing at the airport, and we will have as many as six thousand troops in place in the days to come.
But this turned out to be a lie.
In fact, Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty’s office told Real Clear Politics reporter Philip Wegmann that Americans hiding in safe houses were trying to figure out if they could make a run for it to the airport.
Just got off phone with Sen @BillHagertyTN.
His office is getting reports of Americans in safe houses near the Karzai airport "who are trying to figure out when they can run for it."
"This is what we're expecting Americans to do?"

And the day after Finer claimed the “mission was accomplished,” videos emerged showing chaos as armed Taliban fighters fired weapons in the air and panicked mobs swarmed the walls to try and make it onto the airfield.

An Afghan man sent me this video which he said was raked outside Kabul airport today. How are Americans and Afghans supposed to get through this? pic.twitter.com/PjRTvof5p5

Of course, this isn’t the first time a President has declared “mission accomplished” too soon.
On May 1, 2003, George Bush stood on the flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln and declared “Mission Accomplished.”
However, the war in Iraq carried on for years after Bush declared “Mission Accomplished.”
And when Barack Obama pulled troops back, ISIS took over the region.
The Biden administration using the phrase “Mission Accomplished” will only invite the press and other critics to liken the debacle at the airport to George Bush’s ill-fated “Mission Accomplished” moment, which will forever haunt Biden’s Presidency.
