It’s hard to decide whether the Democrat running for Pennsylvania’s open Senate seat is trying to hide the effects of his near-fatal stroke or the bad ideas he’s had all along.
Either way, John Fetterman is trying to run for Senate without actually being seen or heard.
But he just got smacked with news that could utterly destroy his political career—and the blow came from the last place anyone expected.
Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman and his handlers are trying to pull off the most ridiculous campaign ever.
Fetterman, understandably, dropped out of the campaign scene when he suffered a life-threatening stroke.
Most people gave him plenty of time to come back around out of common decency.
But his campaign has taken that grace period—and taken it way past the point of ridiculous.
Under seeming duress, Fetterman tentatively agreed to debate his opponent, Dr. Oz, sometime in October (he hopes after loads of early voters have already made their decision).
But that ridiculous demand finally broke Fetterman’s hold over corporate-controlled media outlets.
After months of covering for him, a Washington Post article dropped in Fetterman’s campaign headquarters like a bombshell.
The editorial declared that Fetterman must release his medical records and schedule him for multiple debates—including one before early voting starts September 19—in order to prove he’s fit to serve in the US Senate.
“The campaign’s response to questions about Mr. Fetterman’s health is to point to a doctor’s note, released more than 14 weeks ago, which said ‘he should be able to campaign and serve in the U.S. Senate without a problem’ if he takes his medications and exercises,” The Washington Post’s editorial board pointed out. “That’s not good enough.”
“Mr. Fetterman is asking voters for a six-year contract without giving them enough information to make sound judgments about whether he’s up for such a demanding job,” the editorial added. “We have called for full disclosure of health records from candidates for federal office in both parties, including Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and we believe Mr. Fetterman should release his medical records for independent review.”
That could be a fatal blow to Fetterman’s career.
Video recently captured Fetterman on stage at a recent “Women for Fetterman” event illustrates exactly why his handlers are desperate to keep him from being seen or heard.
The candidate is clearly struggling cognitively and with forming words.
He ended up jumbling his words, speaking haltingly with massive pauses, and failing to form coherent sentences.
No doubt, Democrats realize Fetterman is in no shape to take on the job, but if they admit that they’ll also lose their majority in the US Senate which is already split 50/50 with Kamala Harris casting tie breaking votes for the Democrats.
But now it’s looking like they’ll be forced to show their hand.
