Pennsylvania’s eccentric Senator John Fetterman thought he could get away with one of the biggest frauds in Washington.
But Fetterman got some bad news instead.
Because John Fetterman tried to pull one sick con job on Donald Trump but got caught in the act.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s electorate continues to turn ever more red.
Five years ago, Democrats had a 600,000 voter registration advantage over Republicans.
Thanks in large part to the “Trump effect,” that number is now under 100,000.
And it’s looking likely that Republicans will outnumber Democrats by the time the 2026 midterm election rolls around.
Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is up for re-election in 2028.
2028 is also a Presidential year, and the Trump base of irregular voters is more likely to turn out.
Fetterman rebrands to appeal to Trump voters as Pennsylvania shifts red
That combination led to the defeat of three-term Democrat incumbent Bob Casey Jr. in 2024.
Fetterman doesn’t want to follow in Casey’s footsteps.
That’s why, after the election, Fetterman attempted to execute a political rebrand.
Fetterman traveled to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Donald Trump.
The Pennsylvania Democrat also announced he would support President Trump’s plan to purchase Greenland.
And Fetterman even voted to confirm a couple of Trump nominees like Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The latest opportunity for Fetterman to virtue signal to conservatives and conservative-leaning independents came when the administration announced it would cancel $400 million in grants to Columbia University.
The move was due to the Ivy League school allowing lawless Hamas protesters to stalk and terrorize Jewish students and engage in criminal activity during protests, such as trespassing in university buildings to stage sit-ins.
“The administration cited the school’s alleged ‘continued inaction in the face of persistent harassment of Jewish students.’ Columbia University was an epicenter last year for students protesting against the Israel-Hamas war. Trump earlier this week threatened to pull federal funding from colleges he accused of allowing ‘illegal protests’ on campus,” Axios exclusively reported.
Secretary of Education Linda McMahon explained that colleges and universities were responsible for enforcing all federal laws and not picking and choosing based on favored political status.
“Universities must comply with all federal antidiscrimination laws if they are going to receive federal funding,” McMahon declared. “For too long, Columbia has abandoned that obligation to Jewish students studying on its campus. Today, we demonstrate to Columbia and other universities that we will not tolerate their appalling inaction any longer.”
John Fetterman applauded this move, in an attempt to curry favor with Trump voters.
“Columbia let antisemitism run amok to cater to lunatic fringe and paid provocateurs,” Fetterman posted on X. “Leadership allowed those assholes to take over the campus and terrorize Jewish students. Now, Columbia pays for its failure and I support that.”
Despite gestures, Fetterman voted with the Left, exposing his act as a fraud
But most conservatives knew a fraud when they saw one.
Buck Sexton, co-host of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show – dismissed Fetterman as merely offering empty words.
“Fetterman uses reasonable soundbites to get attention and head fake toward the center on some issues. Then he votes in lockstep with communists, every time. Fraud,” Sexton wrote on social media.
Sexton is alluding to the fact that when it comes down to close votes where Fetterman has a chance to actually make a difference he votes like the socialist he really is.
He voted against the confirmation of Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and against legislation banning biological males from playing women’s sports.
Fetterman is no ally to Trump or the conservative base, he remains a socialist and radical Democrat, hopefully, the voters of Pennsylvania will remember this in 2028.
