Democrats are in a mess due to Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman.
Fetterman checked himself into a hospital for depression.
John Fetterman’s absence just crushed a top goal of Joe Biden’s censorship regime.
John Fetterman’s hospitalization took a key vote away from Chuck Schumer, as Democrats currently do not have an absolute majority in the Upper Chamber.
Biden’s nominee to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) just paid the price for it.
The five-member panel is composed of three members from one Party and two from the other.
Since the President appoints three members to the Commission, the Party in power gets a majority on the FCC.
Biden nominated Gigi Sohn to the FCC.
Sohn has a long history of supporting censorship of conservative speech, including previously pushing for Fox News Channel to be taken off the air.
For all my concerns about #Facebook, I believe that Fox News has had the most negative impact on our democracy. It's state-sponsored propaganda, with few if any opposing viewpoints. Where's the hearing about that? https://t.co/Zwx6KFzrff

Republicans united in opposition to Sohn, meaning Joe Biden could not lose any Democrat votes on the nomination.
However, West Virginia Democrat Senator Joe Manchin joined Republicans in opposing the nomination due to her past pro-censorship statements and current beliefs.

Sohn announced she was withdrawing her nomination on the news of Manchin’s opposition.
Senator Ted Cruz called it a huge win for freedom of speech in America.
“The withdrawal of Ms. Sohn’s nomination is a major victory and represents a strong bipartisan agreement that we need a fair and impartial candidate who can receive the support needed for confirmation. The FCC is not a place for partisan activists; free speech is too important. Now, it’s time for the Biden administration to put forth a nominee who can be confirmed by the full Senate and is committed to serving as an even-handed and truly independent regulator,” Senator Cruz’s statement read.
Joe Biden’s attempt to censor his political opponents just suffered a major setback.
But that does not mean Biden is done with his censorship agenda.
