John Kerry is far more than just a failed Presidential nominee.
He’s also a failure Senator, failure Secretary of State and failure Climate Czar.
But now, the one-time Democrat Party standard bearer just twisted the knife he helped shove in a top member of his Party’s back.
Early on in Joe Biden’s Presidency, he took a page out of the World Economic Forum’s book and began pushing his “Build Back Better” plan.
It was a massive tax-and-spend package full of kickbacks to Democrat Party supporters and goodies for the social justice movement.
With a slim Democrat majority in the House of Representatives, and Vice President Kamala Harris’ tie-breaking vote in the Senate, President Biden thought his spending boondoggle would pass.
However, Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia decided the bill – which would have destroyed the fossil fuel industry in America – would come back to haunt him in his home state.
So, Manchin, and his protégé, Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona both vowed to oppose what Republicans more accurately described as “Build Back Broke.”
That didn’t stop Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer from continuing to push for their high-priority proposal.
Months passed and Schumer continued to negotiate with Manchin.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates even bent Manchin’s ear, trying to convince him to support the woke grab-bag bill.
Eventually, some of the spending was stripped, and Manchin was promised a pipeline through West Virginia that would create jobs.
They redubbed the bill, the “Inflation Reduction Act,” in an effort to fool voters, and Manchin signed off.
After some more negotiating, he even convinced Sinema to support what Donald Trump Jr. has more accurately described as the “Inflation Corruption Act.”
But after striking the so-called “deal,” it wasn’t long before Manchin felt the knife from his Democrat caucus-mates who decided a pipeline for West Virginian would alienate their radical environmentalist base and quickly put indefinite pause on the pipeline.
And now John Kerry is twisting that same knife in Manchin’s back, while simultaneously also taking an accidental swipe at Schumer and President Joe Biden.
The private-jet flying Climate Czar is a fan of the “Inflation Reduction Act.”
He says it will “pave the way for the private sector to take the lead” in fighting so-called “Climate Change.”
However, Kerry said the quiet part out loud and admitted in remarks at the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Global Clean Energy Action Forum that it won’t accomplish its biggest selling point, Fox News reported.
“(It’s) a completely misnamed piece of legislation,” Kerry said. “And I’m not sure how much it has to do with inflation, but that’s OK.”
From there, Kerry would go on to praise the “amazing piece of legislation,” as he called it.
“The most important parts of the IRA are very simple,” Kerry added. “Production and investment tax credits. That, I think, is going to do more than almost anything else in the bill. We don’t have to have government making choices about winners and losers. The marketplace is going to choose. You, inventors and investors, are going to help move that along, and we’re going to get there.”
Of course, what the Biden administration’s special climate envoy likely meant was that government won’t be making “choices about winners and losers” because everyone will get slammed with losses due to the act.
Nevertheless, the vast majority of hard-working Americans could not care less about “fixing” some imagined emergency regardless of whether it’s at the hands of government alone or the product of more corrupt collusion between the Biden administration and their big woke corporate cronies.
With Bidenflation continuing to soar, a recession, record-high gas prices, low workforce participation rates and a stock market in free fall, voters want their leaders to fix the economy.
And John Kerry just agreed with all the economists who believe the supposed “Inflation Reduction Act” will actually increase inflation.
