Russia’s invasion of Ukraine looks a lot like the start of WWIII.
Democrats and Republicans both condemned Putin’s attack.
But John Kerry’s biggest concerns about the war in Ukraine will leave every decent person enraged.
Kerry is known for uttering some of the stupidest statements ever, but a recent interview proved what’s going on inside his head is even darker than most could ever imagine.
In case you missed the underwhelming news, Joe Biden tapped John Kerry to be his administration’s “Climate Czar”—and a recent interview proved his approach is about as disconnected from the realities of human suffering as any pampered czar in history.
Kerry hasn’t received much coverage lately since so-called “journalists” have their hands full trying to make Joe Biden’s failed presidency look like less of a train wreck.
But now and then John Kerry says something so awful, someone can’t resist publishing it.
BBC Arabic had Kerry on to get his take on the situation in Ukraine.
The Climate Czar’s interview started out as most would expect.
“I’m concerned about Ukraine because of the people of Ukraine and because of the principles that are at risk, in terms of international law and trying to change boundaries of international law by force,” Kerry said, “I thought we lived in a world that had said no to that kind of activity. And I hope diplomacy will win.”
For John Kerry, that was a fairly lucid answer, but he couldn’t stop talking while he was ahead.
“But it could have a profound negative impact on the climate obviously. You have a war and obviously, you’re going to have massive emissions consequences to the war,” Kerry said. “But equally importantly, you’re going to lose people’s focus, you’re going to lose certainly big country attention because they will be diverted and I think it could have a damaging impact.”
Furious yet? Believe it or not, he was only getting started.
Families are being ripped apart, more than 350 people have been killed (including at least 14 children), economies are devastated, and Russia has violated international law in an apparent bid to overthrow the current world order.
But all Kerry can talk about is his obsession with climate change.
“So, you know, I think hopefully President Putin would realize that in the northern part of his country, they used to live on 66% of the nation that was over frozen land,” Kerry said. “Now it’s thawing, and his infrastructure is at risk…And the people of Russia are at risk. And so I hope President Putin will help us to stay on track with respect to what we need to do for the climate.”
Apparently Kerry thinks a cold-hearted former KGB officer is going to cave because a blowhard who married into a Ketchup fortune tells him ice is melting.
Putin will stop when he sees the West get serious about driving the price of oil down by expanding domestic drilling and abandoning Democrats’ radical environmentalist policies.
Until then, he won’t.
