The Presidential race is heating up again with Kamala Harris’ campaign off and running.
Now, she’s going to get a rude awakening about the biggest race of her life.
And Donald Trump was handed one weapon that could spell doom for Kamala Harris.
The state of play for the Presidential election
The media hype train for Vice President Kamala Harris is moving full steam ahead after she became the Democrat Presidential nominee.
Democrat enthusiasm has ticked up after she came off the bench to replace President Joe Biden.
They think that Harris has dramatically changed the race after Biden’s campaign imploded after the debate.
But a football game doesn’t go back to 0-0 when the backup quarterback comes into the game.
Polling averages show the race is back where it was before the debate.
Former President Donald Trump has a narrow lead nationally and in most of the crucial swing states.
Now, the Trump campaign is going on the attack against Harris.
The basic blocking and tackling of politics
Republican strategist Matt Gorman appeared on the Fox News show America Reports to break down the state of the Presidential race.
He explained that the Trump campaign needs to stick to the fundamentals and hammer away at Harris on her record.
“Republicans shouldn’t overthink this,” Gorman explained. “We’re back to now the race we expected on June 26, the day before that fateful debate. Right?”
The dreams of a landslide victory ended the moment that Biden threw in the towel.
“We were never going to win like in some of the polls showed at the end Trump up six against Biden,” Gorman said. “That was never going to happen. This is a two-point race; either way, stick to the fundamentals, right?”
Harris’ record in the Senate and her failed 2020 Presidential campaign presents a treasure trove of issues to attack her on.
“We’re gonna run on crime, economy, immigration, and now we add to the mix the long list of leftist positions that Kamala had on tape supporting in her aborted run for president back in 2019, didn’t make it to 2020,” Gorman continued. “So that’s what you can use. Don’t overthink it.”
A recent Wall Street Journal poll found that Trump has an advantage over Harris in handling immigration, crime, and the economy.
Harris has a starring role in the Biden border crisis after she became the White House’s “Border Czar” in March 2021.
Immigration was a serious political vulnerability for Biden after more than 11 million illegal aliens entered the country under his watch.
He passed the torch to the person tasked with solving the crisis.
The media has already begun to do damage control for Harris by trying to claim she was never the “Border Czar.”
Harris supported defunding the police and soft-on-crime policies during her days as a prosecutor and California Attorney General.
And she cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate for the $2 trillion American Rescue Plan in 2021 which unleashed the worst inflation in four decades.
Kamala Harris is going to be feeling the heat for the rest of the campaign over her far-left record.
