Joy Reid admitted one thing about men in women’s locker rooms that left everyone stunned

The Left spent years attacking anyone who questioned biological men using women's facilities.

They called it bigotry and compared it to Nazi Germany.

And Joy Reid admitted one thing about men in women's locker rooms that left everyone stunned.

Fired MSNBC host breaks with radical Left on transgender locker room issue

Former MSNBC host Joy Reid became one of the most polarizing voices on cable news by labeling anyone who questioned radical leftist ideology a bigot or a fascist.

Reid frequently compared Donald Trump to Hitler and warned her viewers that Republicans wanted to create a Nazi-style regime in America.

In December of 2024, Reid argued that preventing minors from receiving gender reassignment surgery echoed "Nazi Germany.”

She claimed that "targeting trans people isn't new" and was "an age-old tradition which Nazi Germany did with brutally violent ends in the 1930s."¹

Republicans ran $215 million in ads during the 2024 election cycle about how Democrats supported biological men competing in women's sports and using women's facilities.

Reid dismissed those concerns as bigotry and called it Republicans "exploiting" fear of the transgender community.²

But now Reid is singing a completely different tune after MSNBC fired her in February 2025.

During a recent episode of her Reid This Reid That podcast with journalist Jacque Reid, the two discussed an incident at a Gold's Gym in Los Angeles where singer Tish Hyman confronted a biological male who repeatedly entered the women's locker room.

Hyman posted a viral video on November 2 showing her confronting the man after he entered the women's locker room while she was completely naked and called her a "bitch" in a "deep angry voice."³

Hyman reported the incidents to gym management multiple times but the staff did nothing until she "made noise" and "screamed for help" during the November altercation.⁴

Gold's Gym responded by canceling Hyman's membership while the biological male was allowed to continue using the women's facilities.

Reid admits she would "freak out" seeing male genitalia in women's locker room

Joy Reid revealed that when she worked at MSNBC she would "always change in" a private room because she didn't want other women seeing her naked.

But even changing in a private room didn't protect her from uncomfortable situations in the locker room.

"I would always change in, like, a private room because I'm like, I'm not trying to change in front of people like that," Reid explained. "I don't need people to see me naked and then see me in the hallway later. But, then, I would come out of my little private dressing room, and there would be women walking around — I'm talking about women — women walking around with their boobies danglin', swinging in the breeze."⁵

Reid said even seeing naked women made her uncomfortable.

But she admitted that if she turned around and saw a biological man's genitals in the women's locker room, she would have a completely different reaction.

"I'm alarmed enough when I see a woman with her dangling boobies; if I saw a penis in the ladies' locker room, I would freak out too," Reid stated. "This is nothing against trans-anybody."⁶

Reid said she would "probably go to management" and demand to know why there was a "naked man" in the women's locker room.

"What it's saying is if I turn around and I see a pee pee, a penis in front of me inside of the room, I would probably go to management and say, 'Wait a minute. Why is there somebody — a naked man — in this room?'" Reid added.⁷

Her co-host Jacque Reid agreed that women shouldn't have to see male genitalia in their private spaces and suggested creating separate facilities for transgender individuals.

Reid floated the idea of gender-neutral locker rooms as a fix — anything to avoid admitting she was wrong.

Look what happens when it's suddenly Reid's comfort at stake

Here's the thing about Joy Reid — for years she's been torching anyone with legitimate concerns about men using women's facilities. Called them bigots. Said they were pushing a "dangerous and evil" crusade against transgender people.

She went on national television and compared laws protecting women's private spaces to Nazi Germany.

Reid never considered that women might have legitimate safety and privacy concerns about sharing intimate spaces with biological males.

But the second it became her personal comfort at stake, suddenly those concerns became valid.

Reid got fired from MSNBC in February 2025 as part of a network shakeup that saw her 7 p.m. show The ReidOut canceled despite her ratings actually improving.⁸

The Daily Beast obtained Nielsen ratings showing Reid's audience was on an upswing in February, beating both her 6 p.m. lead-in and surging throughout the second half of 2024.⁹

Reid claimed she was fired because of her race and her criticism of Donald Trump, breaking down in tears during a Zoom interview where she described the "anger and disappointment" she felt at losing her job.¹⁰

President Trump celebrated Reid's firing on Truth Social, calling her "one of the least talented people in television" and "the mentally obnoxious racist" whose ratings were "virtually non-existent."¹¹

MSNBC replaced Reid with a panel show featuring three other hosts while her former colleague Rachel Maddow called the decision "indefensible" and questioned why the network was removing its nonwhite primetime hosts.¹²

Now Reid is discovering what millions of American women already know — biological men don't belong in women's private spaces.

The only difference is those women got called bigots by people like Joy Reid when they said it.
