The Democrat Party used to at least pay lip service to the concerns of Christian voters.
Recently, the party has adopted a blatantly anti-Christian agenda.
And Kamala Harris infuriated Catholic voters with this unprecedented slap in the face.
The Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, named after the first Catholic Presidential nominee, has been an American tradition for decades.
For decades, both party’s candidates have attended the annual Catholic fundraiser during election years.
The candidates traditionally engage in self-deprecating humor and take light jabs at one another when they address the dinner.
With just two exceptions, both Presidential candidates have attended the dinner since 1960.
Even former President Richard Nixon attended the dinner alongside his opponent, John F. Kennedy, who was Catholic.
But this year, Kamala Harris decided she is “too busy” to attend the dinner.
Every sitting President over the past six decades has made time to attend the event.
Trump took a wrecking ball to Kamala Harris for ducking Al Smith Dinner
Former President Donald Trump has confirmed he will attend, and blasted Kamala Harris for her decision to skip the event.
“It will be an honor to attend the SOLD OUT 79th ANNUAL AL SMITH DINNER on October 17th in New York,” Trump posted on social media. “It will be great to see so many wonderful people there, including Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan. We know the Spirit of Al Smith, the first Catholic Nominee of a Major Party, and John F. Kennedy, the FIRST Catholic President, will be in the room with us that night.”
Trump noted that Harris has a history of hostility toward Catholics.
“It’s sad, but not surprising, that Kamala has decided not to attend,” he said. “I don’t know what she has against our Catholic friends, but it must be a lot, because she certainly hasn’t been very nice to them, in fact, Catholics are literally being persecuted by this Administration,” Trump said in a post.
Despite Joe Biden being a professing Catholic, the Biden-Harris administration has targeted Catholics.
The Biden-Harris Justice Department has aggressively prosecuted abortion protesters, many of whom are Catholic.
According to Biden-Harris Justice Department documents, Catholics who prefer to attend the traditional Latin Mass have been labeled a domestic terrorism threat, and were targeted by government surveillance.
The Biden-Harris administration also insulted all Catholics and other Christians who hold traditional values by declaring Easter to be a “transgender day of visibility.”
Polls showed Catholic voters split between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump
While the Catholic Church continues to hold pro-life and traditional family positions, Catholic clergy have a tendency to avoid commenting on political candidates.
Pope Francis recently attacked both Harris and Trump, Harris for her support for abortion-on-demand, and Trump for his immigration policies.
According to a Pew Research poll, Trump is leading among white Catholics with 61% support, while Harris leads among Hispanic Catholics with 65% support.
Trump is likely to see a boost in Catholic support due to his running mate, J.D. Vance, who is a Catholic convert.
CatholicVote.org is working to expose Harris anti-Catholic stances with a multi-million dollar ad campaign in several swing states with large Catholic populations.
Harris’ decision to snub Catholic voters could certainly come back to bite her in November.
