America First Republicans have all the momentum right now in the world of politics.
Democrats are counting on infighting to bring down the GOP’s new big tent.
But now Kamala Harris is raiding the liquor cabinet after these two GOP power-players joined forces.
Those who don’t learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them
The Democrat base seems to be gluttons for punishment at times.
After President-elect Donald Trump handed them their worst defeat in two decades last November, blue voters appear ready for a repeat.
A post-election survey from Echelon Insights found Vice President Kamala Harris is the runaway frontrunner to once again represent her party at the top of the ticket in 2028.
I don’t know if Kamala Harris was drunk. I just hope Kamala Harris was drunk. https://t.co/MOmQ7z7MjY

The first Democrat to lose the national popular vote since John Kerry all the way back in 2004 took 41% of the poll.
The second-place finisher, Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) was 33-points behind at only 8% — this before wildfires ravaged Los Angeles.
Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA), Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Kamala’s failed running mate Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) finished with 7%, 6%, and 6% respectively.
Walz’ total combined with Kamala’s equals almost half of Democrats wanting one of the two people from their losing ticket to be their nominee in the next Presidential election cycle.
The leader of the Squad, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was next up at just 4%, followed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) at 3%, Governor Jared Polis (D-CO) at 1% and finally Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) coming in with less than a full percent.
Whose is next, Vance or DeSantis?
But with Trump termed out after these next four years, the big question is, who will replace him as figurehead of the GOP?
While many contenders will no doubt be White House hopefuls, this far out, political analysis believes there are two top contenders on the Republican side.
Insiders are eying either Vice President-elect J.D. Vance or Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) as Trump’s heir apparent.
Trump’s endorsements have proved powerful in GOP primaries since he first won the White House back in 2016, which would seem to give Vance the inside track.
Vance will be the number two man in the Trump Administration.

Meanwhile, many of Trump’s most ardent supporters still hold a grudge against the Governor of the Sunshine State.
However, Trump is singing a different tune.
Trump and DeSantis mend fences
Upon leaving the primary, Governor DeSantis immediately endorsed his then-rival, and threw his weight behind Trump’s campaign.
And America’s Governor has been one of Trump’s top defenders in recent weeks.
🚨 HOLY SH*T. Governor Ron DeSantis just absolutely torched this reporter and came to Trump’s defense when they attacked Trump over the criticism of Gavin Newsom. This may be his best moment yet.

First, DeSantis unloaded on Big Media reporters who were criticizing Trump’s calls for Governor Newsom to resign in the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires – disabusing them of the notion that the President-elect should have stayed out of it.
But DeSantis wasn’t done there.
A strong America First proponent who has been a leader on the issue of fighting against illegal immigration and protecting U.S. border security, DeSantis wants to make the most out of Trump’s calls for mass deportation of criminal illegal aliens.
In fact, Florida’s Governor released his own plan on how his state can aid in the effort and even went as far as calling the state legislature in for a special session to approve the plan.
Americans have given President Trump a mandate to secure the southern border and end the illegal immigration crisis. Florida must step up to help carry out this mission.

DeSantis’ eight-point plan includes mandating Florida law enforcement agencies work with ICE, creating new penalties for coming into Florida illegally, expanding “DeSantis Airlines” to for use in deporting illegal aliens, tightening election integrity to ensure illegal liens don’t vote, and much more.
Florida Republicans, Speaker of the House Daniel Perez and Senate President Ben Albritton both whined and complained about having to come in for a special session to do their jobs.
Trump and DeSantis team to beat the odds
However, Trump was a fan of the DeSantis plan.
He backed the Governor’s call for a special session.
And he posted his gratitude to DeSantis on his Truth Social platform.
“Thank you, Ron,” Trump posted. “Hopefully other Governors will follow!”
🚨 BREAKING: Trump and DeSantis golfed today.
This comes the day after DeSantis announced a special session of the legislature to enforce Trump’s deportations.
Trump has since rallied to DeSantis’ defense against GOP leaders who oppose the session.

But wait, there’s more.
Trump even invited DeSantis to join him in one of his favorite pastimes – a round of golf.
According to the Florida Governor, DeSantis teamed with Trump to take on three opponents in a handicap match on the links.
QUESTION: Who won the golf match, you or Trump?
RON DESANTIS: Well, we were on the same team. It was a 2v3. The president and I won, which was good, I didn’t want to be a drag on that. It’s not the easiest course. pic.twitter.com/RuRujKwotk

“The president and I won, which was good,” DeSantis said on the Dana Loesch Show. “I didn’t want to be a drag on that. It’s not the easiest course.”
With Trump, DeSantis, and Vance, the GOP is as close as it’s ever been to enjoying an embarrassment of riches.
