Kamala Harris is the Democrat Party’s final hope in keeping a Republican out of the White House after this election.
But her path to victory has a major obstacle that will force her to make a decision no Democrat wants to make.
Now Kamala Harris is trembling in fear after she was sent the one letter from Fox News she hoped to never receive.
Kamala Harris’ invite to the debate she needs but does not want
Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump just received a debate invite from the President and Executive Editor of Fox News Media Jay Wallace and Vice President of Politics Jessica Loker.
The letter suggests a September 17 date for the debate hosted by Fox News.
“Now that Vice President Kamala Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee, FOX News Media is amending our proposal for a debate this cycle,” they said in their letter. “Given the race has changed, we’d like to request the opportunity to host a Presidential Debate between former President Trump and VP Harris.”
Fox News made the proposal to host the debate in the highly focused-on state of Pennsylvania, saying that they are open to negotiations over rules and format with both Harris and Trump.
“We propose to host the debate in the state of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, September 17, just as early voting is getting underway there and in other key battlegrounds,” they continued. “We are open to discussion on the exact date, format and location – with or without an audience.”
Wallace and Loker suggested that news anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum should moderate the debate.
“Again, we believe Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, the faces of our political coverage, are the best choices to moderate,” they proposed.
Trump shuts down the ABC debate
Former President Donald Trump, in the past, agreed to the two debates that were proposed by then-Democrat candidate President Joe Biden – one hosted by CNN, and the other by ABC.
But since Joe Biden ended up dropping out of the race, Trump argued that the agreement was no longer in place, while making the case that ABC and their top anchor – with deep Clinton loyalties – George Stephanopoulos was incapable of running a debate that is fair.
Trump said that the next debate should be hosted by Fox News.
“My debate with Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the history of the United States, was slated to be broadcast on Fake News ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, sometime in September,” argued Trump in a post on Truth Social.
“Now that Joe has, not surprisingly, has quit the race, I think the Debate, with whomever the Radical Left Democrats choose, should be held on FoxNews, rather than very biased ABC,” he added. “Thank you! DJT”
In a follow up post, Trump made it clear that the ABC was no longer going to happen, arguing that the media company could not be trusted after they assisted in covering up Joe Biden’s cognitive collapse.
“ABC Fake News is such a joke, among the absolute WORST in the business,” argued Trump. “They try to make Crooked Joe into a brave warrior because he didn’t have the “guts” to fight it out – He quit!”
“They then tried to make “Sleepy” look like a great President – he was the WORST, and Lyin’ Kamala into a competent person, which she is not,” he continued. “ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, is not worthy of holding a Debate, of which I hope there will be many! MAGA2024”
Since 2008, every single Democrat has refused to allow Fox News to host a debate.
But based on early polling data from CNN and The Economist, Trump is leading against Vice President Kamala Harris.
So if anyone needs a debate to happen, it is her.
Considering how desperate Kamala Harris is to launch herself to the front of the race, she is being forced to decide whether or not she will be the first Democrat in nearly two decades to allow a news group not in the pocket of Democrats to host.
