After more than two months in office, Joe Biden finally held his first press conference last week.
Even though he took scripted questions, Biden still seemed confused and disoriented the entire time.
And Kamala Harris may be worried about her political future after what Joe Biden said during his press conference.
During his first press conference last week, Biden took 10 questions from a pre-selected list of friendly supporters.
One of the questions was about Biden’s political future, specifically if he planned to run for re-election given the fact that he would be 82 years old in 2024.
“The answer is yes,” Biden responded. “My plan is to run for reelection. That’s my expectation.”
However, Biden did admit that it would be up to fate since it’s three years from now.
“Look, I don’t know where you guys come from, man . . . I am a great respecter of fate. I have never been able to plan for 3.5 years ahead for certain,” Biden added.
As expected, a lot of folks, including Kamala Harris, were shocked by Biden’s answer.
After all, not only is he the oldest person to assume the Presidency at 78 years old, but he also referred to himself as the “transition candidate” during the campaign, leading to speculation that he was planning to pass the torch to Kamala Harris and step down after his first term.
Furthermore, his declining mental abilities have most folks wondering if he will make it to the end of his first term, much less run for the most stressful job in the world again in 2024.
But Biden’s answer at his recent press conference most likely has Kamala Harris rethinking her political future.
Historically, former Vice Presidents simply haven’t fared well in Presidential races – outside of a few exceptions, with Biden being one.
It’s entirely possible that Harris signed up to be Biden’s VP assuming that she would be on the fast track to the Oval Office.
But Biden’s mixed signals has everyone – including himself – confused.
