The author of books about Vice Presidents Harry Truman and Richard Nixon recently published an op-ed in the New York Times shedding light on what we can guess is happening behind the scenes in the Biden/Harris Administration.
In a twist that shocked D.C. insiders, it turns out that President Joe Biden and his top officials, including Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, rarely get together for private lunches with Vice President Kamala Harris.
On the other hand, when Biden was VP he had lunch with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on a regular basis.
“In the nearly two years since Mr. Biden tapped Ms. Harris as his running mate in August 2020, we’ve learned that her bonds with Mr. Biden and key administration officials are relatively thin,” Frank wrote in his op-ed for The Times. “It’s no small matter that she’s had only a handful of private lunches this year with Mr. Biden. And after her first lunch with Secretary of State Blinken, in February, 2021, she reportedly expected their lunches to continue, as they had for then-Vice President Biden with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”
The historian added that such interaction is customary.
“For instance, in the late 1950s, Vice President [Richard] Nixon formed an almost filial relationship with Secretary of State John Foster Dulles,” he added. “Regular Harris-Blinken lunches, though, didn’t happen (although the two have met, talked by phone, and have what one State Department official calls ‘regular engagements…regular interaction’).”
Kamala Harris is such a massive political liability, nobody in The Swamp’s elite circle wants to be known as her close confidant.
Somehow, she’s even managed to become a bigger liability for the Democrat party than a president caught on camera taking orders from the Easter Bunny.
The one job Joe Biden and his handlers tapped her for — handling the border crisis as the so-called “Border Czar” — has turned into an unmitigated disaster that will provide gossip in college political science classes for decades to come.
In fact, it’s possible Joe Biden maintains he will run for president in 2024 in order to keep Kamala Harris off the ticket.
After all, Democrats painted themselves in a corner by picking one of the least competent women in the country to become the first female VP.
The fact that Joe Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken don’t even bother to meet with her proves that Harris is as much of a joke inside the administration as out.
The lack of respect for Harris extends across the political spectrum as key figures line up to potentially challenge her for the presidential nomination in 2024, should Joe Biden not run.
California Governor Gavin Newsom, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and, of course, Hillary Clinton are among those already positioning to challenge her in the 2024 primaries.
