Big Tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has long been an ally to the radical Left.
Conservatives have long accused the Facebook owner of bias.
But Kamala Harris melted down when she heard this rumor about Mark Zuckerberg.
Democrats losing their grip on Big Tech
For years, Democrats have had a monopoly on mainstream social media platforms.
That changed when Billionaire Elon Musk bought social media platform, Twitter, now known as X.
Musk promised to make X into a free speech platform and rolled back the censorship policies that were previously in place at the platform.
But Musk’s rival billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, who owns Meta, the parent company of social media platform Facebook, has long censored conservative speech on his platform.
Musk, who also owns the electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, has moved to the right in recent years.
He is now a Trump supporter, and the former President has indicated that Musk will likely have a role in his administration.
Musk and Zuckerberg have traded barbs with one another, which culminated in a planned cage fight between the two tech billionaires that never quite came to fruition.
Facebook has been caught red-handed suppressing news that is damaging to Democrat candidates.
Conservative accounts receive Facebook bans far more often than leftist ones do.
Facebook users who post conservative content have reported bans and other restrictions without being given any explanation, especially during election season.
Zuckerberg himself gave President Trump a permanent Facebook ban after January 6.
But now it seems like Mark Zuckerberg may be changing his tone.
Zuckerberg trying to cozy up to GOP
Over the years, Zuckerberg has been called before Congress over various issues.
So far, he has avoided any type of legal accountability.
He has spent the last four years doing the bidding of the Biden-Harris administration.
But facing the possibility of a reckoning under a second Trump administration, Zuckerberg seems to be hedging his bets.
Zuckerberg has spoken with former President Trump on the phone twice in the last few months, and referred to him as a “badass” following the first assassination attempt he survived.
He also expressed regret for some of the censorship actions he had taken.
Zuckerberg said the platform’s mass censorship during COVID was done as a result of pressure from the Biden administration.
Sources close to Zuckerberg told the New York Times that he now considers himself a libertarian.
He has recently pulled back his involvement in nonprofits that promote a left-wing agenda.
Reportedly, Meta is also no longer encouraging left-wing activism among its employees.
Zuckerberg also seems to be trying to mend his relationship with conservative media sources that Facebook has a long history of suppressing their engagement.
He recently hired Brian Baker, a prominent Republican strategist, in order to try to get into the good graces of conservative media and Republican politicians.
Zuckerberg’s shifting tone is likely pragmatic, rather than ideological.
After all, Zuckerberg can see there is a real possibility that Donald Trump will return to the White House, and he is now trying to get himself out of the former President’s crosshairs.
