A lot of Americans believe Joe Biden is planning to pass the torch to Kamala Harris in 2024.
But the past few months have been especially rough for Harris.
And Kamala Harris won’t like this one new poll that shows her political career on life-support.
A recent poll conducted by the Trafalgar Group found that 64 percent of Americans — including 43 percent of Democrats — do not believe Kamala Harris is fit to serve as President of the United States.
Mark Meckler, the President of the Convention of the States Project which commissioned the poll, explained how the results of the new survey showed most Americans do not believe Harris is fit to be President.
It’s another troubling sign for the Biden administration.
“Our last poll found that most Americans don’t believe Joe Biden is actually running the country, and today we’re learning voters think Kamala Harris’ tenure as Vice President has been a disaster, and she’s absolutely not ready to step in and take his place,” Meckler stated. “Washington, D.C., has never been more radically out of step with the will of the American people than right now.”
Since Joe Biden will be 82 years-old in 2024, this is a major problem for the Democrats.
With Biden showing signs of declining cognitive abilities, a lot of folks were expecting Kamala Harris to be the guaranteed Democrat nominee in 2024.
However, her time on the national stage has only hurt her image in the minds of voters.
After anemic poll numbers and fundraising totals made it clear that Harris had no path to the nomination during the last election, she dropped out of the 2020 primary around Thanksgiving.
And since becoming Vice President, Harris has not only botched her handling of the border crisis after Biden placed her in charge of the situation, but she’s also faced leaks from within the administration about how terrible the work environment is in her office.
The results of the new Trafalgar Group poll prove that Harris’ efforts to gloss over her failings aren’t working with the American people, which could force Democrats to re-evaluate their 2024 options should Biden decide not to run for re-election.
