Fox News canned Tucker Carlson and brought a firestorm to the once-respected news network.
Fox News has been tilting left for years, but not many conservatives noticed.
Conservatives are now rightly concerned Fox is tilting leftward and Kari Lake dropped the hammer on Fox News and Piers Morgan with big news about Tucker Carlson’s firing.
But that changed when Fox executives decided to fire Tucker Carlson.
And since the firing, Fox viewers have noticed an accelerated leftward slant on many Fox programs.
For example, a number of shows on different Fox platforms have begun pushing gun control.
Not surprisingly to anyone who has ever watched him, Fox host Piers Morgan wants to get the Republican Party to favor banning and confiscating firearms from law-abiding Americans.
But he ran into a conservative firebrand in the likes of former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake who not only stuck to her guns on the issue but flat out shut Morgan down.
Morgan cited a Fox News poll supposedly showing “overwhelming support” for disarming the American people and myriad of gun control measures.
“Eighty-seven of Americans back stricter background checks. 81% agree the legal age to buy a gun should be raised to 21. Eighty percent agree that anyone who buys a gun should go through a mental health assessment. Eighty percent want police to take guns from people considered a danger to themselves. Seventy-seven percent want a 30-day waiting off period for all gun purchases,” Morgan began.
Of course, what Morgan didn’t point out is that issue polling is in its very nature biased.
And it is always suspect since the “neutral” pollsters frame issue questions to always elicit a more favorable responses for the Democrat Party’s agenda.
Lake took issue with the poll and Fox News in general saying Fox was “a globalist network pushing a globalist agenda.”
A clearly flummoxed Morgan tried to push back against Lake.
“Fox News is watched by a lot of gun owners,” Morgan weakly responded.
“Fox News is a globalist network run by globalists who want to bring down our Constitution and take away our Second Amendment,” Lake repeated.
“I don’t think Fox News is a globalist network. It’s the biggest conservative network in the country,” Morgan shot back.
“They fired Tucker Carlson,” Lake stated.
Of course, globalist billionaire Rupert Murdoch owns Fox News.
And all of Murdoch’s other media properties, including the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal, all support gun control.
It looks like Fox News is on board the gun confiscation bandwagon now too, with multiple hosts echoing the propaganda from Joe Biden and other gun grabbers.
And Kari Lake made it clear firing Tucker Carlson was the “rip the mask off” moment for Fox News.
Besides, what Morgan and others don’t understand is phony polls don’t make public policy.
