Recently there was a disturbing story out of Washington, D.C. involving the U.S. Secret Service.
Secret Service agents were protecting Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi when they opened fire on suspects who were trying to break into the agency vehicle that was carrying Naomi Biden.
While the agents didn’t hit anyone, including the suspects, and Naomi Biden was unharmed, the incident brought a major issue into the spotlight.
And not one that is good for Joe Biden and the Democrats.
Because the incident called attention yet again to the complete failure of Washington, D.C.’s Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser and her administration to enforce the law.
The Democrat Mayor’s pro-criminal policies have led to a massive spike in violent crime in the nation’s capital.
Since just January 1, D.C. residents reported 866 carjackings to police, a 104% increase over this same time period in 2022.
And at a recent White House press briefing Fox News correspondent Mark Meredith asked Jean-Pierre if the attempted carjacking of Naomi Biden had forced the White House to consider urging Mayor Bowser to try and crack down on violent crime.
Not surprisingly, Jean-Pierre completely ducked the question and instead tried to claim Joe Biden was a certified crime fighter in the style of Elliot Ness because he signed a $1.9 trillion Blue State Bailout Bill.
Of course the only actual effect of the bill was to supercharge inflation while Biden laughably claimed it was Republicans who refused to tackle the crime epidemic plaguing Democrat-run cities.
“The President, again, put forth the American Rescue Plan, signed that into law, put billions of dollars into communities to help — help mayors and — and governors deal with crime in their city and their states,” Jean-Pierre began.
“But Republicans aren’t serious. He put forth the Safer America Plan — $35 billion to continue to invest and make sure that we’re actually dealing with this type of crime. We don’t hear anything from them,” Jean-Pierre added.
“So, House Republicans, Republicans more broadly in Congress, if they want to get this done, we’re willing to work with them,” Jean-Pierre concluded.
But Jean-Pierre once again ignored the fact that Mayor Bowser is typical of Democrat Mayors who coddle criminals.
During the 2020 Black Lives Matter insurrection as rioters tore apart D.C., even burning churches, Mayor Bowser’s main response was to paint a Black Lives Matter mural on the street as an in-your-face gesture to Donald Trump.
Criminals in the nation’s capital got the message and turned the city into a crime-ridden hell hole.
The city is now so dangerous that not even the President’s family is safe to go out at night – even with Secret Service protection.
Despite this, Joe Biden and the Democrats continue to happily deny every other resident of Washington, D.C. the ability to protect themselves by taking away their gun rights.
