Kathy Griffin stunned the internet with a disturbing new video featuring fake severed heads of Trump, Musk, Bezos, and Zuckerberg in a desperate attempt to revive her failed career.
Kathy Griffin’s career has been in the gutter for years.
She’s been desperately trying to claw her way back into the spotlight.
And Kathy Griffin just made one desperate move that left everyone disgusted.
Failed comedian crosses the line again
Liberal comedian Kathy Griffin is at it again, proving that some people never learn from their mistakes.
Over the weekend, Griffin shared a grotesque TikTok video featuring what looked like the decapitated heads of President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.¹
In the disturbing footage, Griffin appears emotionless while standing before four bloody replica heads mounted on a wall, then raises her eyebrows and tilts her head before giving an approving nod.¹
The twisted performance concludes with Griffin smirking at the camera alongside text reading “that’s all.”¹
It’s the same playbook Griffin used back in 2017 when she posed with a fake bloody head of President Trump during his first administration.
That stunt destroyed her career and cost her lucrative television deals.
Now she’s back to the same well, hoping to generate controversy and attention.
The problem?
Nobody cares about Kathy Griffin anymore.
Conservatives demand FBI investigation
Social media users demanded law enforcement take action against Griffin’s inflammatory content.
The influential Libs of TikTok account posted the video and urged federal authorities to investigate.
“Kathy Griffin apparently posted this video which appears to be decapitated heads including Trump,” the account wrote on X. “This should be investigated @FBI.”²
And they’re absolutely right to be concerned.
President Trump survived two assassination attempts during the 2024 presidential election, including one where a gunman’s bullet grazed his ear.
Griffin’s video comes at a time when political violence is a real and serious threat.
Her cavalier attitude toward depicting violence against political figures is reckless and dangerous.
But Griffin doesn’t seem to care about the consequences of her actions.
She’s more interested in generating headlines than considering the potential harm her content could cause.
Griffin’s 2017 meltdown destroyed her career
Back in 2017, Griffin faced devastating consequences for a similar stunt involving Trump.
Her infamous bloody head photo triggered a career-ending controversy that cost her television deals and public appearances.
CNN swiftly cut ties with the comedian, ending her decade-long run on their New Year’s Eve broadcast.³
The network’s statement was brief and final: “CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year’s Eve program.”³
Trump condemned the image and shared how it traumatized his young son.
“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself,” the President declared. “My children, especially my 11-year-old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”⁴
Melania Trump issued her own scathing response to Griffin’s stunt.
“As a mother, a wife, and a human being, that photo is very disturbing,” the First Lady stated. “When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it.”⁵
The backlash forced Griffin into damage control mode with a public apology.
“I’m just now seeing the reaction of these images,” Griffin said in her mea culpa video. “I’m a comic, I crossed the line. I moved the line and then I crossed it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it affects people. It wasn’t funny, I get it. I beg for your forgiveness.”⁶
Desperate attempt to stay relevant
Griffin’s latest stunt reeks of desperation.
Her career never recovered from the 2017 controversy, and she’s been struggling to stay relevant ever since.
The entertainment industry largely shunned her after the severed head incident.
She lost television deals, comedy tour dates were canceled, and venues refused to book her.
Now, seven years later, she’s back to the same tired routine.
Griffin seems to think that shocking imagery and political controversy are her ticket back to fame.
But here’s the thing – nobody’s buying what she’s selling anymore.
The American people are tired of celebrities who think depicting violence against political figures is somehow acceptable.
We’ve seen too much real violence in recent years to find Griffin’s antics amusing.
Her attempt to shock and offend just comes across as pathetic and attention-seeking.
Griffin’s latest video proves that she hasn’t learned anything from her past mistakes.
She’s still the same desperate has-been comedian willing to do anything for five minutes of fame.
The difference is that this time, hardly anyone is paying attention.
