Throughout her time as Donald Trump’s Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany faced off with Democrats’ media allies on a daily basis.
She’s still fighting the good fight to hold them accountable for their bias.
After former President Donald Trump cruised to victory in the Iowa Caucus, virtually every news outlet covering the first nominating contest of the 2024 election cycle immediately began airing his victory speech live, as is customary for any Caucus winner.
But as Trump reached the point of his speech when he started talking about substantive issues that actually matter to voters across the political spectrum, CNN immediately cut away from his remarks.
In fact, CNN’s Jake Tapper went so far as to claim Trump was utilizing so-called “anti-immigrant rhetoric” when discussing the Biden border crisis, the fact that millions of illegal aliens pouring across the border each year without any resistance whatsoever is a national security threat, and the humanitarian crisis it has caused.
“A relatively subdued speech as these things go so far, although there he goes,” Tapper quipped. “Under my voice, you hear him repeating his anti-immigrant rhetoric. He did take time to praise his rivals, Haley and DeSantis and Ramaswamy by name. Rather un-Trump-like to do that, gracious, but perhaps a sign of some message of discipline at least for one night.”
Of course, while Tapper and his ilk claim that discussing actual solutions to the situation at the border is somehow “anti-immigrant,” polls continue to show that immigration is one of the issues voters care most about in the 2024.
As a matter of fact, entrance polls conducted prior to the Iowa Caucus indicated that immigration was the top issue for Republican voters in the state.
Former Trump Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany pointed out to fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity that CNN’s decision to not air the portion of Trump’s speech in which he spoke about the issues that actually matter to voters could be a test of the strategy they hope will help tip the scales in President Joe Biden’s favor come November.
“I am worried that the media has a plan, and we saw it play out last night to just censor this man,” McEnany said. “Jake Tapper – what a shameful moment from a so-called journalist, as you exposed him. He is not.”
“To cut off Donald Trump and say, ‘You can hear him under my voice saying anti-immigrant things,’” she added. “He was not. Let the people hear the truth – the leader of the Republican Party.”
Hannity responded by pointing out that Tapper and others at CNN are simply Democrat activists despite parading around as self-proclaimed “journalists.”
“That’s journalism,” Hannity noted. “That to him is a fact. He thinks he’s a journalist. You know what he is. He’s a talk show host. I’m a talk show host. I buy it, I practice journalism, that’s part of my job. I do investigative reporting. I give opinion. We talk about culture and sports. I’m like an entire newspaper, but they say they’re journalists. That’s the distinction.”
Democrats and their media allies will stop at nothing to give Joe Biden any boost they can in the 2024 Presidential election.
