When it comes to the crisis on the southern border, President Joe Biden and his Border Czar Vice President Kamala Harris are doing their best ostrich impression.
And they’ve convinced the rest of the Democrat Party to follow them in hiding their heads in the sand.
Now, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and his cohorts in Congress are calling for a boycott many Americans will see as a slap in the face to everyone who lives in a border state.
The Biden White House continuously calls for amnesty and benefits for illegal aliens – and then blames Republicans for the crisis on the U.S. southern border, while at the same time denying there is a problem.
The fact is, since President Joe Biden took the oath of office and through January 2023, more than 6.1-Million illegal aliens have crossed the U.S. southern borders.
In 2022, there were nine straight months with at least 200,000 illegals entering America.
And there is no end in sight to the invasion at the border.
In fact, this past January, 156,274 migrants flooded into America – a record high for the month of January.
To put it in perspective, that’s like the entire city of Charleston, South Carolina crossing the border illegally.
And those numbers don’t even count the “gotaways” – with Customs and Border Patrol officials saying there’s about 65,000 “gotaways” each month.
According to a new report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform, illegal immigrants cost American workers $150.7-Billion last year alone.
Meanwhile, fentanyl seizures at the border are at record highs.
According to data from the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the fentanyl coming into the United States under Biden isn’t even comparable to the numbers under former President Donald Trump.
Last year alone, authorities seized approximately 380-Million lethal doses of fentanyl – more than enough to kill every person in America.
In fact, under Biden, fentanyl overdoses have become the number one killer of Americans between the ages of 18-45.
Republicans in Congress want to take a trip down to the border to see things first hand and, perhaps, inspire some effective policies and legislation to fix the problem.
However, the Washington Examiner is reporting all 15 Democrat members of the House Homeland Security Committee – are planning to boycott the visit to South Texas, saying it would make more out of the issue than is warranted.
“After careful consideration, Committee Democrats have decided not to participate in the Republicans’ field hearing this week,” said Democrat Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi. “Unfortunately, it has become clear that Republicans planned to politicize this event from the start, breaking with the committee’s proud history of bipartisanship. Instead of a fact-finding mission to develop better border security and immigration policies, Republicans are traveling to the border to attack the administration and try to score political points with their extreme rhetoric.”
Along with Thompson, California Congressman Eric Swalwell will boycott the visit with struggling families along the border.
The Democrat Representative from Silicon Valley is best known for sleeping with the enemy.
In 2020, it was unearthed that suspected Chinese spy, Christine Fang, built connections with several California politicians, including Rep. Swalwell.
In fact, Fox News reported at the time that “US intelligence officials believe that Fang had a sexual relationship with Eric Swalwell.”
Other Democrat Representatives on the Homeland Security Committee boycotting the trip include: Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, Dina Titus of Nevada, Rob Menendez and Donald Payne of New Jersey, Dan Goldman and Yvette Clark of New York, Lou Correa and Robert Garcia of California, Delia Ramirez of Illinois, Troy Carter of Louisiana, Shri Thandar of Michigan, Seth Magaziner of Rhode Island, and Glenn Ivey of Maryland.
