Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tricked herself into thinking she’s a seasoned politician.
But as the new Speaker of the House cleans up, everything is changing.
And he just slapped Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) with a big dose of reality.

But her first month as a representative with her party in the minority is going horribly wrong.
And former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) blatantly partisan move on AOC’s behalf is coming back to bite her.
The longer Pelosi was in office, the bolder she became.
She even went as far as making an unprecedented move to throw two of the most pro-Trump conservatives in the U.S. House off their committee assignments in the last Congress.
Pelosi harbored a special kind of resentment against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who she removed from every committee she was assigned to based on fabricated claims by Democrats that she was promoting “violence.”
Pelosi then took it a step farther by stripping Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) of his committee assignments after the Republican posted a satirical cartoon video of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on social media.
She used the same tired false excuse that he was promoting “violence.”
It was yet another purely political move to intimidate pro-Trump conservatives.
Now Democrats are discovering how little they like payback.
While Democrats were running wild, Republicans were making specific plans to remedy the most atrocious violations which were powerless to stop as the minority party.
Last year Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) promised to strip three of the biggest offenders from certain committee assignments.
Now, McCarthy is following through by pulling Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ocasio-Cortez’s top “Squad” member, from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Unhinged anti-Trump Representatives Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) are also losing their House Intelligence Committee assignments.
McCarthy pointed to Rep. Omar’s frequent anti-Semitic outbursts for why he stripped her from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
The wildly radical leftist Congresswoman has been rebuked by some of her fellow Democrats for antisemitic and anti-Israel remarks, but now she’s facing real repercussions for her nasty outbursts.
McCarthy had good reasons to strip the other two Democrats from their positions as well—stemming from something more than partisan political games.
“Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the public sector,” McCarthy pointed out last year. “Why would we ever give him a security clearance in the secrets to America? So, I will not allow him to be on Intel.”
Rep. Swalwell got in trouble in the past for his cozy relationship he had with Chinese spy Fang Fang, who not only supported his campaign but went on to develop a romantic relationship with the California Congressman.
“You have Adam Schiff, who had lied to the American public time and again,” McCarthy continued. “We will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either.”
Of course, Rep. Schiff did his party by peddling Hillary Clinton’s fabricated “Russia collusion” hoax.
Now McCarthy is taking away the position on the House Intelligence Committee Schiff used to push the lie that he had seen classified evidence tying Trump to Russia.
“I made all [three] cases before,” McCarthy explained to Punchbowl News. “It’s not like it’s anything new… remember, this is what Nancy Pelosi – this is the type of Congress she wanted to have.”
Speaker McCarthy is certainly making use of the precedent set by Pelosi to kick some dirty Democrats out of their committees.
And that’s eating into AOC’s power and influence on Capitol Hill.
