Democrats enjoy only a razor-thin majorities in both the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.
But their chances of holding on to their majority is slipping by the day.
And now key Democrats may be about to retire from Congress after Joe Biden made this one move.
The Democrats are facing a real challenge in 2022.
Already, several Democrats who represent border districts have decided to retire rather than run for re-election facing the headwinds of the Biden induced crisis at the southern border.
But after Biden just signed six executive orders to regulate, ban and confiscate firearms, several Democrats who represent swing Districts may decide to retire rather than face the wrath of angry voters in the next election who are outraged at Biden’s gun grabs.
In fact, one of Biden’s orders goes so far as to force folks who buy firearms made from 3-D printers or other kits to not only submit to a federal background check but also enter their firearm into a gun registration database.
POLITICO reported that, “among the actions Biden will take will be to direct the Department of Justice to begin, within 30 days, the process of requiring buyers of so-called ghost guns — homemade or makeshift firearms that lack serial numbers — to undergo background checks and, within 60 days, regulating concealed assault-style firearms, according to the White House.”
Aside from regulating “homemade” firearms, Biden’s executive orders also set up a framework to allow states to pass red flag confiscation laws that give liberal judges the right to grant permission to law enforcement agents to raid a home and confiscate firearms.
And it also uses taxpayer money to fund radical gun control studies that will no doubt be used to push for more gun control.
POLITICO also reported that, “Biden will also direct the Department of Justice to provide states within 60 days with proposed red flag legislation that would permit courts to order the temporary removal of firearms from a person who may be a danger to themselves or others and issue a comprehensive report on firearms trafficking, according to the White House. The last report was completed in 2000.”
“In addition, Biden will direct five federal agencies to redirect money to help prevent community violence. The Department of Health and Human Services will also help teach states how they can use Medicaid money for gun violence prevention.”
Of course, Joe Biden would be wise to back off of the gun control issue after the shellacking Obama took in 2014 after he tried to ram a national gun registration database into law.
But right now it doesn’t appear like Joe Biden has any plans to back off pushing his radical agenda.
