Joe Biden’s failing economy has caused the competition in the fast-food industry to ramp up.

Companies are looking for new ways to give them an edge against their competitors as they try to survive.

And the fast-food world just got put on notice after KFC launched a game-changing new menu item.

Chicken and sauce skirmishes are the new battlefield in the fast food wars

Just about every major fast-food chain carries chicken nuggets.

McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Popeyes, and Chick-fil-A, all carry some version of the kid-friendly chicken nugs.

And even Taco Bell is getting in the game by announcing they are introducing chicken nuggets later this year.

These kid, and adult, favorites are some of the most popular menu items for the fast-food chains struggling to keep customers coming back in Biden’s economy – and for some chains it’s apparently because they believe there’s profit to be made in charging for dipping sauces.

But surprisingly, long-time fast-food chicken franchise KFC was late to the party by introducing its Kentucky Fried Chicken Nuggets just last year.

For most chains the chicken nugget options typically come down to regular or spicy.

But KFC has decided to give customers more options to choose from with its new Saucy Nuggets, with five flavors at locations nationwide.

KFC is bringing back two of their customer-favorite sauces – Georgia Gold and Nashville Hot – and are introducing three new flavors: Sticky Chicky Sweet ‘n Sour Sauce, Korean BBQ, and Honey Sriracha.

No dippers required – new KFC Saucy Nuggets flavors and old favorites could be a game changer for the Colonel

These flavors are described by KFC as “Honey Sriracha: A sweet heat sauce using a blend of red chili peppers, garlic, and honey, Korean BBQ: A sweet and savory umami sauce with soy sauce, garlic, sugar, and sesame, Sticky Chicky Sweet ‘n Sour Sauce: A balanced combination of sweet and tangy flavors including pineapple, garlic, vinegar, and chili, Nashville Hot: Smoky, spicy, and crispy, with an even ratio of flavor and smokiness to heat that brings balance, and Georgia Gold: A honey mustard-style BBQ sauce made with vinegar, honey, and savory seasoning.”

The nuggets come in a 10-piece option for $5.99 or a combo meal with 10 Saucy Nuggets, Secret Recipe Fries, a biscuit, and a medium drink for $9.99.

“KFC has never been so finger lickin’ good – literally,” KFC Chief Marketing Officer Nick Chavez said. “We’ve entered the sauce chat. Our KFC Nuggets – made from 100% white meat chicken and hand-breaded with KFC’s secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices – dripping with these sauces create an unmatched flavor experience, with something for every palate.”

These new Saucy Nuggets are slightly different than most nuggets in that they straddle the line between nuggets and boneless wings.

That means fast food fans will have more options to choose from when they’re craving nuggets.

KFC rolling out even more new menu items

But the new saucy nuggets aren’t the end of the line for KFC’s innovations.

In addition to debuting the Saucy Nuggets, KFC is adding a new dessert option to its menu, Apple Pie Poppers.

Apple Pie Poppers are described as having a warm apple filling in a bite-sized flaky crust and are being sold at most locations for $2.49 for four pie poppers.

And in February, KFC released its Chizza – the chain’s take on pizza, which consists of a fried chicken patty topped with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.

KFC is trying to innovate in order to stay ahead of its fast-food competition, and the Biden economy.
