Country Rock singer Kid Rock has long been one of the few conservatives in the music industry.
He is a vocal Trump supporter.
And Kid Rock just called out Michelle Obama over this unthinkable smack in the face.
Michelle skips inauguration
Donald Trump’s inauguration was well attended.
But notably absent was former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Her husband, former President Barrack Obama, was in attendance.
The former first lady did not provide a reason for skipping the event.
CNN reported the former First Lady was “in Hawaii on an extended holiday vacation.”
Both of the Obamas attended Trump’s 2017 inauguration.
Even Trump’s 2016 opponent, Hilary Clinton attended alongside her husband and former President.
Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden attended as well.
Trump seemed unfazed by the snub.
A source within the Trump campaign told Page Six they were having a good laugh about the former First Lady’s absence, and that “They didn’t expect her to come anyway.”
But Kid Rock called out Michelle Obama for skipping the inauguration.
“She seems a little angry,” he said on Jesse Watters Primetime.
Rock noted that even though he never supported Obama, he nevertheless attended his inauguration and played for him alongside rapper Kanye West and rock band Fall Out Boy.
“I would kindly remind her that years back when Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him. But they asked me to play the inauguration. And I played it and I went,” he said. “I had a good time. I went out of respect for the president so I would kindly remind Michelle about that.”
Michelle Obama also recently skipped Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, had played at the Republican convention last year.
The Rocker took the stage of the convention and played his hit song “American Bad A–” before Trump came out to accept the Party’s nomination.
Kid Rock said he had declined an invitation from Donald Trump to play a few songs at the inauguration.
He did, however, offer to help with planning the event and teased that he had planned something “pretty special” for the event.
“I’ve spent so much time on this,” the rocker said. “I put something together. I put it all down on paper to the minute. Everything choreographed.”
He joked that the Secret Service might limit what he can do for the event.
“They’re like, yeah, we can’t light off fireworks and have big pyrotechnics. I’m not sure we could have strippers on poles,” he joked.
Some years back, Kid Rock had teased running for a U.S. Senate seat in Michigan.
That ultimately never came to fruition, and the rock star said he considered his potential Senate bid to be a joke.
For Michelle Obama’s part, many on the Left hoped that she would launch a bid for office herself.
She boasts one of the highest approval ratings of any nationally known Democrat.
But the fact that she can’t be bothered to show up for events indicates she doesn’t have much in the way of political ambitions at this time.
