Polls consistently reaffirm that former President Donald Trump is the runaway favorite for the 2024 Republican Presidential ballot.
The only other candidate who has maintained serious traction is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis—and chances are he is setting himself up to be the top candidate in the 2028 election cycle.
The same could be said for the recently surging Vivek Ramaswamy.
Nevertheless, the Real Clear Politics polling average shows that Trump and DeSantis are the only real contenders in the race with every other declared candidate still unable to even get into the double digits in the national polling average.
Some RINOs in the race, including former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, are simply running in order to have a platform and funding to take shots at Trump.
South Dakota Republican Governor Kristi Noem pointed out the suspicious nature of their campaigns by asking why they are playing a losing game.
“The fact is, none of them can win as long as Trump’s in the race,” Noem said during an appearance on Fox News. “And that’s just the facts. So why run if you can’t win?”
Based on how their campaigns have been playing out it’s become painfully obvious that Christie, Will Hurd (former Texas Congressman), and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson are all angling for jobs in the corporate-controlled media.
After all, playing as a network’s designated RINO who criticizes the Republican Party can be a lucrative deal.
It’s clear Christie isn’t even attempting to woo conservative voters since he’s been firing endless attacks against Trump and he supports radical left-wing concepts, including gender reassignment surgery for kids.
Meanwhile, Hurd made a recent appearance on MSNBC where he begged the network’s viewers to donate $1 to his campaign so he could just barely squeak into the first Republican Presidential Primary debate by showing he has 40,000 individual donors.
Meanwhile, Christie has spent more time wooing the leftists on CNN than appealing to voters in the critical first nominating state of Iowa.
Governor Noem was rumored to be a potential Republican Presidential candidate, but she ruled out that option fast for this go around since she’s convinced no other Republican is going to win against Trump.
“I’ve probably run 10 statewide races,” Noem said. “I’ve won them all. I’ve never lost. If I get into a race, I’m gonna win. So that’s just how we do it.”
Noem said she’ll be making an endorsement in the race soon.
And it’s pretty clear how she’s leaning.
“President Trump did some great things for our state and for our country,” Noem pointed out. “As Governor — and everybody should be grateful for this — he let me do my job. When he was President, he let me do my job, and I appreciate that. Biden doesn’t do that.”
Governor Noem hedged when it came to answering questions about additional rumors over whether she will end up running for Vice President alongside Trump.
“You know, he hasn’t asked me, so we’ll cross that bridge — we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it,” Noem noted. “I don’t really answer hypotheticals.”
That approach is in stark contrast against most of the GOP candidates in the Presidential Primary who know they don’t have any chance of getting into the White House.
